@al2bmw Thank you for that input. I've always loved the bike but was worried that its immense displacement might be a bit difficult off road. Has it been a problem with you at all?
@al2bmw I had one on loan to me whilst my F650 GS (2010) went in for a service, I totally agree with you on taming the bike. At first, the R1200 GS felt massive compare to my little baby, but once moving, it is very easy to ride. The problem came when getting back on my bike, even though it's a 800cc, but felt like riding a bicycle compare to the R1200 GS.
They are Baja Fuego, from SOLTEK, ABOUT $800 dlls. the Kit HID, they are racing lights, BMW or any other Motorcycles have no good lights, motorcycles are not built, have or Meant for Riding fast at night.
The one at the right is concentrated for depth, for long distance and high speed.
The one at the left is wide spectrum for objects near the ends of the road, specially on narrow roads or tight bends.
Lol this guy reminds me of my dad and his 1200GS, so short riding a giant bike. Perfectly happy with my 800GS though, much easier to manage. Also that thing looks awesome! do you ever do any long offroad trips on that thing?
Thank you for your comment, she is really big, it takes time and practice to handle her, the only problem is while it is stopped, once it is runnning it feels so light and agile, I learnt a lot from watching Gaston Rahier, he is smaller than me and a true Dakar world Champion on even a taller bike, God Bless you.
I'm 1.86m and find the bike big for me I ride it with the seat on the lower position it gives me better stability when stopped. I think the ideal height for this bike is 1.90 m upwards
Since this motorcycles are more for road, I use Continental Road attack ,sport tires, better mileage and better grip for high speed, SAME SIZE ALTHOUGH
just wondering how tall are you

That motorcycle is more for road, long distance travelling, off road on hard packed soil, not for sand, way too heavy.

DAMNMAN could you be any smaller than that bike?
fuwad84 1 month ago
@fuwad84 I am not tall at all, but taller than Gaston Rahier, the Dakar Champion, he inspired me, if someone can, anyone with the will can.
This is definitely a big bike, but easy to tame, once running it is so user friendly, feels small and agile.
