Sweet ride man - looking to buy one in the fall. What were your gains like after tune? I would have opted for the Subie - don't know if I trust the SST tranny yet on any substantial power gains... Which btw, you sound like you are destroying the transmission... I didn't think most auto's like it when you just hammer the gas down over and over again to change gears... isn't that what the SST was designed for? lol...
Pretty sure you're not supposed to put a blow off valve on this car. The stock equipment is a bypass valve, that recirculates the air into the intake, rather than releasing it to atmosphere. If you are running with a blow off valve that just vents to the atmosphere, then you are running rich.
hey buddy first off a bypass valve is a BOV.... a BOV can be recirculated or vented plus this car had the BOV recirculated with the recirc fitting(ATTENTION TO THE BLUE BRIGHT HOSE BACK TO INTAKE BEHIND MAF)
so pretty sure you should not comment on something with little knowledgewhat you said wasnt even relevant to this video since it was
a) BOV=By-pass valve
b) It WAS Recirculated
c) even if it was vented, a easy fix with a small tune...childs play.
@yakovgolyadkin I agree ... I still have my TurboSmart Dual Port fitted, & at first, I was venting 50/50, at first I couldn't tell, but the longer I drove it, the more I realized something was wrong.? - My RA was bucking & kicking once I let go of the throttle.? - As soon as I went fully plumbed, it was "perfect", & I actually had more HP it was that noticeable.! - You CAN have a BOV on these, just make sure it's " Fully Plumbed " & U won't have any probs.!
i don't think theres a wastgate aside the one in the turbo already, new mitsubishi turbos allow better flow with stock at the OEM level. maybe getting something like a gt30 or gt35 is more suited for an individual wastegate cause of greater exhaust flow into the turbo
