@duncanedwards036 Yep, I remembered the theme & that allowed me to find it here. Not four anymore-- today I find it truly awful, not surprised it didn't last.
Some others I remember-....Hey Landlord!.....Me and The Chimp.....Capt. Nice...Mr.terrific. My mom had meetings at home for Jr. Girls sunday school class the same time the Monkees came on-it was a popular class we had a new 26 inch color TV!
Gosh so glad to find this. I thought about this show when Sherwood passed away last week, and wondered if I would find any footage online. If I recall this came on Sunday nights in between Lassie and before Sullivan. (In the former My Favorite Martian timeslot). When it was canceled, didn't Gentle Ben take this spot?
I was only 4 when I watched this show but I still remember it. I haven't seen it since then. It's never aired anywhere I have lived. I remembered the song and two guys and the space ship and the dinasaurs. I didn't remember Imogene Coca, I guess I didn't know who she was at the time. Thanks for posting it.
This is another one of those shows that stuck in the back of my head. Slightly below the par of Land of the Giants and well below other favorites like Lost in Space and The Time Tunnel.
Loved how the the consoles on the inside of the spacecraft started shaking when they landed.
I remember watching this when I was a kid but I didn't know it was in color. I guess this was before my parents came into the 20th century and got rid of the b&w tv.
I get premonitions. In my surfing I read that Sherwood Schwartz created this show. Why did I suddenly get the idea to read on the internet about Sherwood Schwartz? And then it lead to me finding this video and watch it. Am I getting some sort of premonition? I don't want to say what my premonition is. I just want to say that Sherwood is alive and amen to that.

Thanks. That's sure to be a popular one. I remember the cave family was brought to 1966, but for some reason Mac and Hec felt it necessary to keep the fact they'd travelled in time a secret. I'd like to know the reason why (beyond it being necessary to carry on the show's plot).
Caught that show just now. Thanks! The "return to 1966" show explained why Mac and Hec kept the cave folk under wraps.
One of the last shows had Mac and Hec finally convincing their superiors that they had time travelled and that Gronk et al. were cave people. But Mac had misgivings. He thought the cave people would be poked, prodded and examined endlessly. For their sake, he deliberately got overheard spreading a false story that it was all a gag. Cave people saved from the media circus.
They speak ENGLISH???

I remember loving this show when it first aired. Of course I was what? Four? Yeah, but I ran to the TV when that goofy theme began.

It was canceled unfortunally due to poor ratings. The Apollo fire had nothing to due with that.
BusterTV1 8 months ago
@BusterTV1 its ratings were so poor because the cavemen's accent is difficult to listen. However the plot is good.
