@PhoenixPlaneswalker G'Kar lives! believe me, he lives in me, in you, in many people. he will not die aslong as we remember him and learn from him. line by line.
Andreas Katsulas could probably have read a laundry list or a page or 2 from a PHONE BOOK & imbue it with philosophical & poetic nuances. He did it very well as G'kar. His role as Cmdr. Tomalak in ST : TNG didn't give him quite the latitude. A rare screen presence.
Pretty good lines from G'kar. This was a nice change of pace from his usual "The Centari must die!" rantings from season 1. It showed us a preview of what he would become in the future and that he doesn't obsess over destroying the Centari all the time.
I also like how he realizes that to the Sigma 957 walker aliens that we're all ants to them. To them, the feud between the Centari and the Narns seemed like a fight between two rival ant colonies......
@girlgarde Even back then, G'Kar was growing & evolving. Londo was an interesting character, but he was still basically the same through most ( though not all ) of the run of Babylon 5.
@JulioMarco Technically, this was not Citizen G'kar. This is 1st season, where G'kar is still a member of the Kha-Ri. They are technically 2 different people in a sense.
If ants lined up to form patterns, using mathematics, etc, people would take notice and start trying to analyze the order for some sign of communication. Just saying.
@ayeroxor Yes, because that would be a strange behavior for ants, but lining up to form patterns or cities, doing math, building starships... all those behaviors fit the usual paradigm for the younger races.
The older races would not care for those primitive behaviors, even though they would certainly stop to take a good look at that PsiCorps instructor who ascended to a higher state a few episodes before and would perhaps stop by and spend a few seconds smiling at the poor Leta Alexander. :)
This is the best description of our perception or mis-perception of God I've ever seen. And they weren't even talking about God. Just a powerful alien race.
I watched the "What was that?!" over and over again XD

When I first watched this I chalked it up to "just another mystery of the universe" which was the attitude of G'Kar.
That they came back in Season 3/4 to matter was, to me, great writing.

Andreas shouldn't have been allowed to die, I blame Lorien, I mean, where was he?

One of the first truly poetic moments for G'Kar in the series. Each moment after only builds upon this.

@bluntman1138 True, since no person is the same at two points in time.
Anyway, the fact that the character is great remains. He and Londo are a fantastic creation... we should have more series like that.

When talking to G'Kar it becomes apparent how bad an actress she is.

This scene was the first real glimpse we got into the depths of G'kar; a foreshadowing of what was to come.
