Thanks for the comment! I remember my grandfather talking about his cousins, but I don't think I was ever able to keep it all straight. I ought to work with my mother on a family tree. His mother and father are in these videos, as are my mom and uncle.

I am originally from Redfield. My family moved away in 1989 after I finished 3rd grade. I went to school with a boy whose last name was Goodwin. I think his name was Ryan. I have great memories and am sad we moved away.
Looks like it was undoubtedly a wonderful place to raise a family. Central Iowa was a great place to be in the late 30's and 40's. We need to see more posts such as this as it brings back many wonderful memories of years gone by. Thanks for submitting this one..it was enjoyed immensly.

Thanks for the comment. We have no relation to Ryan, as far as I know. The Goodwins moved to Des Moines in 1950.
