Guillard is exciting to watch, mainly due to his energy. But he is far too cocky for someone who is basically 2-dimensional. Incredibly fast hands & solid wrestling+takedown defense. His kicks are powerful but he never uses them anywhere near enough, nor has enough variety. Unfortunately, despite his hands his boxing defense is pretty bad, making easy to catch out with technique. Because of his bad striking defence, he tends to fall back to wrestling, leaving himself wide open to BJJ attacks.

Wow, Melvin has been in some pretty sketchy looking shows. That cage at 4:03 didn't even look safe to fight in. Guillard is the man. He's one of my favorite fighters, for being a slick, strong, skilled beast, going in there to put on a show and get the KO. He reminds me of fighters like Shogun, Leben, BJ, and Wanderlei. Well rounded, skilled, monsters. The scariest part? He's recently been getting better by leaps, every time we see him in the octagon.
