Meowmi24: Certain rodeo events are abusive. The worst in our opinion is steer busting, followed by the wild horse race, calf roping, team roping, goat tying and bucking horses and bulls. Then there are oddball events like goat chariot races, ostrich riding, mutton busting, etc. We don't find barrel racing, pole bending or breakaway roping to be inherently cruel, although participants may make it so by their individual behavior. This is an abbreviated response to a broad question.

If you have anything to do with the PRCA, if you support its so-called "champions" like Trevor Brazile, Cody Ohl, Cash Meyers, etc., all of whom are steer busters, you are part of the problem. Men or women with real guts would take a stand and put a stop to it. If an industry will treat the steers that way, why should anyone believe that they would be less cruel to the other animals?
