  • this guy seems wise :) good ideas, in everyday language, beyond playing political (big and small p) games, genuine, personal and helpful :) transformation (doing the right thing) v reformation (doing the thing right) nice :) requirement v objective... and hard hitting too, wrt education, wow, those in the audience must have felt hot under the collar...

  • @happyseaurchin Thank you for your comments on all 3 parts of this speech. Yes, Dr. Ackoff could be very direct (some would call it "tough love") when making a speech or when teaching a class. But that was his way of trying to shake people out of thinking they already knew all the basics and just needed to learn a few new things "in the margins" (so to speak).
