  • is this considered industrial/experimental? cuz that is what i am labeling it as.

  • @Cutsman562 don't label it. Why does the genre matter? btw hello again, cutsman o_O

  • @THEJustinSimmons im just curious meng! i have a Music page and im trying to get the persons insight... and have we spoke before?! haha

  • this is essential.

  • amazing

  • So... EPIC...<3

  • @redninja2010 You can kind of say that about most genres of music if you think about it. It's the little touches people put on it to stand out.

  • A soaring masterpiecie! My first time hearing tonight. Wow, redninja, I sort of know what you mean there is a certain 'sound' that gets copied out there, but there is so much diversity under the PR label, and even the nuances between 'similar' band sounds that make them a little different, are like discerning the differences in fine wines. The palate is not instantly cultivated for some of us; it takes time. In the meantime,... I get back to soaring with Giants :)

  • @drds89 You should definitely check out the re-release of their first self-titled EP, it's a masterpiece.

  • @oldstories89 Thanks for the advice, will definitely purchase!

  • @oldstories89 I took your advice and bought it from Amazon, downloaded and was blown away-- every single track was 5 star!!!!! Thanks so much! Got the followup and also loved it ('cept the h.l. mencken). Also just found Beware of Safety, and Always the Runner...wow, I'm chest deep in this stuff now!

  • @drds89 That's awesome to hear!

  • Majestic!

  • def best album played with them in grants pass, they rule so hard

  • @redninja2010 i understand where youre coming from. i see post rock as musicians music, like its kind of boring to other people but if youre in a progressive band or play guitar this music has more meaning idk thats just my take.

  • @captainbatguano

Ahk, this is true. I enjoy ever-so-much playing guitar in the style of post-rock. When I hear it being played I don't always want to listen, as I'd prefer to be playing along. Listening to music close to the post-rock and instrumental genres gets my creative neurons flowing so that when I reach for a guitar, I'm enjoying every second of it. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and this is but another example.

  • @redninja2010 Get "Spiderland" by the band Slint

  • @redninja2010 That's true to some extent, but I think there are some bands out there who like to mix things up and create something beyond the boundaries of the so-called post rock sound.

  • the beauty, grace, depth of post rock packed in 6:42 minutes of pure blissfulness.
