  • Yea the american equivalent would kick the imports ass ! Even the new ford mustang kills a BMW !

  • STI ftw!

  • oil caught fire on super heated exhaust?

  • American Cars have gotten MUCH better than they were in the 90's but they're still shit. Its a shame because I think Cadillacs are very nice looking cars.

  • @hell2dano408 Thats what every import driver say. You have clearly never driven american cars, they are far from being shit. They offer many v8 powered cars that compete against the most powerfull imports. I would take Muscle Cars over ANY import any day because in my mind nothing looks and sound as good as the tire shredding power of V8's. My father has driven american cars all his life and he has made more than 400 000kms on each and every one of them without problems. Good-day!!!

  • @ToxicReaper7 Take an american car roudn a track versus a powerful import and we'll see who's laughing.

  • @ToxicReaper7 it's NOT about sounds and smoking tires , it's about handling ! US cars handles like shit around tracks , all they're made for is straight lines or maybe ovals BMW's M series will torn apart any US muscle or whatever car you call it! i know americans are so freakin ass patriotics , but hey , that's just not gonna work when it comes to cars.. get back to your ovals and V8 sounds and leave the handling and high end tech engeneering to germany, italy and japan...

  • @ToxicReaper7 oh i forgot , you should see how many BMW's and mercs do reach 400.000 Kms + they're even some that reaches 1 million ! and good day !

  • @hell2dano408 what makes you think that? when's the last time you drove a cts-v?

  • most likely an sti they are in

  • awd ftw lol

  • I think that's a Subaru that their in.

  • Typical Chevy

  • American engineering right there!

  • good save dude :-)

  • That was cool.

  • lol he said oh stop stop nah fuck him lol

  • This is some need for speed shit

  • nice save

  • The co-pilot points like "okay now drift around the burning wreackage and then there's a straight away" lmao

  • wow those vettes ARE dependable

  • Wow the driver in camera car is in BEAST MODE

  • Awesome save man, adrenaline was pumping I bet

  • Must've blown a hole in the block and fuel got sprayed everywhere.....never seen anything like it on the track

  • One hell of a save.

  • nice save!

  • awesome save

  • the instructor cracks me up, the driver is good be the instructor was still all nervous, oh shit oh shit(drift around vette) alright go.

  • Damn the driver is very good Oo

  • that was an epic sav eright now, 99 percent of normal drivers would either hit the car or went into the fence

  • "oh shit oh shit okie dokie lets go"

  • fuuuuuuuuuck

  • That is why I would invest in a dark colored suit, preferably brown to hide the poop stains

  • really nice save, good driver I guess :p

  • holy shit

  • Pretty nice safe.

  • american cars.

  • I am an import fan (not civics) and this hurts to watch :/

  • And this is their GOOD car

  • @lmorrow4 It's not the car you jackass. It's the people driving it. What a fucking moron.

  • @pnggolfer9 Really? Don't you have some golf clubs to go putter around with or something you FUCKING MORON!?? You a mechanic? You know about engines blowing up? Thought so TIGER. What a MORON.

  • Hot-Dogggggger!

  • That looked nothing like a blown engine. More like an exploding fuel tank.

  • @bronxboyXXX

Never heard of, or seen, oil fires, huh?

  • oh shit oh shit oh shit.LMAO

  • What a bad-ass save! When off the track, drifted around the Vette in the grass, saved and continued back on the track.

  • Lol

  • Damn I was expecting some smoke and clanking noises.....that shit BLEW!!!

  • oh shit oh shit oh shit oh shit go that way

  • the whole time his passenger is like "Go! Fuck em just go"

  • thank god i have a FORD

  • Looks like the rear tires locked up just before it blew. I would say a failed 3-4 uipshift and he grabbed 2nd by mistake. I almost had a 4-1 downshift but was able to notice the engine revs sounding unnatural and backed out of it.

  • Any engine can blow up. Get over it people. Stop been small-minded.

  • Show me the Carfax......

  • Like a rock my ass.

  • tat adviser tell him not to hit the brake?

  • @zkyfengix He's in grass...no point of locking the wheels up. And he did good...avoided the car and got right back on the track with minimal damage.

  • @gamer4585 ya i know tat i mean tat the driver is more calm than the adviser lol

  • Damn nice avoidance!

  • nice fucking save that made my butt hole pucker just watching that

  • Oh and that was a very nice dodge and recovery by the Subaru driver!

  • I own a WRX and a z06 and they are both great machines. To all the morons talking about how crappy the Corvette is, get a clue its a solid machine.

I can't tell if thats the engine or the brakes catching fire, it looks like an awful lot of smoke & fire to be the brakes. It looks like oil or gas catching fire on the exhaust but I suppose it could be the brake system (brake fluid?) .

  • @danielschmitt7 Thank you, someone intelligent speaks....

  • holy shit

  • Chevy is shit.

  • so thats where the bailout money went

  • @ThoseGuys110 yup to the obama engine plant in mexico. what happens when you sell your company to a union. yeah this car is 3yo. but doesnt help GM attempt for quality Eh?

  • @ThoseGuys110 bahaha!

  • Haha. Suckage. Sick handling by the Subie driver tho! AWD FTW!

  • damn sti driver did good haha i would have smashed right into the back of the z06

  • @s1dnac1t thats cuz you suck

  • Engine blown = Oil slick = FML

  • The dang oil line came loose the motor was just fine.

  • Made in the USA baby! LOL

  • This guy's skilled!

  • THAT LOOKS SO FUCKING FUN!

  • AWD Fuckers!!

  • Holy shit, hope that dude is ok....

  • 0:11 What the HELL! Why lock the brakes?

  • @stellaspeed10 he hasn't !!! the engine blew up and the pistons stuck in the cylinders causing the wheels to block

  • @kyiakosnspatra Missed something at the end of that. So after all that happend is brake lights came on... Hmmm I didn't know that.

  • @stellaspeed10 my fault! first the engine blew ,he noticed it and then braked to avoid the worst!

  • @kyiakosnspatra This like what I said before LOCKED the brakes on the race track. Would of bean smarter to pull over to the side and wait for a yellow other then locking the brake and have you and everyone else crash. Smoke + locked brake = insurance claim.

  • "Both feet in. Both feet in. Both feet in." Good instructor.

  • lol how do you start spinning like that? from just totally freaking out?

  • if you watch closely it came from the tires also know as brake fires it happens alot on the track and can kill someone not funny to laugh at to begein with but it was not the motor it was the wheels blowing from the heat and it sparked when it his the brakes seen it before watch tour racing or even nascar you see it happen occasionally

  • what happned to the z06..

  • Haha gotta love how the Subie just drifts around the ZO6. LOLOLOL

  • Poor Z06... Great reaction skills and driving skills tho man... Good job!

  • fuck he spun out! fuck it do a gran turismo!

  • bad ass driver

  • bothfeetinbothfeetinbothfeetin

  • looks like 3 people will be needing a clean pair of pants

  • LMAO, typical Z06, Go Subbie!!!

  • @fxjerry Yeyyy Subbie ftw!

  • yee haw go dale jr

  • wow looked like a game first few seconds

  • THAT GUY WAS SO CHILL!

  • Any real driver would know how impressive and responsive both the driver and the instructor were in a time like this. Most people would glue their eyes onto the vette directly in front and would either hit it, or swerve to either side and role the car. The driver did exactly what he was supposed to do; he first reduced his speed by breaking, steered away from the other vette, then steered into his back end to catch himself from spinning out.

  • holy hell!

  • Those are just after burners baby! That's one Oh $#% moment.

  • haha u see the passenger oh look his vette is on fire..then points just go around haha

  • Um how do we know the ENGINE blew. LS motors don't blow up like that. The 7.0 has a dry sump oiling system and therefore oil lines. If oil, powersteering fluid, or maybe even fuel got on really hot exhaust it could damn sure flame up like this!

  • @lemansguy72 we don't,title is wrong probably. Not really much chance for sump to break and spill oil and petrol all over the patio, while pistons are falling apart and valves killing people around :D nah, this is probably something not so big deal, maybe fuel intake went snap and spilled or smthng...

  • Driver: Oh Shit, is he okay?

    Passenger: Fuck them, carry on

  • Its funny how the subaru is actually catching up with a corvette, lol SUBARU FOR THE FUCKING WIN!!!!

  • @bnsf4 besides on the straight away where the corvette was pulling away...

  • @Airgunhead1234 yep. all aluminum, tough as nails too, wonder what was wrong with this guy's motor?

  • LOL

    Boooooorn in them USA

  • Get the lego out kids, we got a car to fix

  • FOX! THAT WAS ONE OF OURS!!

  • fukin GM

  • At the end the driver was like wow! should we help him?? and the passenger was like nahhh f*uck 'em

  • sad that the engine went like that on the vette, but how about that wrx getting off the track, at speed, sideways in the grass and back on the track and under control....that my friends is the beauty of awd!

  • @Airgunhead1234 LS7...the Z06

  • Nice go round and recovery. Good work

  • that was a perfect drift LOL

  • don't hit it don't hit it don't hit it...yea i don't think it's a blown motor you can see the driver rear wheel lock up before the fire

  • Hotttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D

  • OH SHIT, TURN IN! TURN IN! TUR--- okay you're good.

  • That was the rear axle overheating and ceasing. That's probably why the car spun out, the rear tires couldn't spin anymore so they locked up. If it was the engine the clutch would have slipped and lost traction with all that torque still coming from the drive train.

  • i really wanna know what the fuck happened

  • bwhahaah... OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT :))))

  • def not the fault of the car ls series are solid

  • Nice save... those LS motors aren't normally known for these types of issues, unless someone wasn't checking their oil.

  • to qwekian u never raced before have u? wind blows everything back. exhaust and fumes and what not. of course fire is going to be blowing out the rear end at the speed their at... goddamn u didnt ever take a physics class did u

  • ALL WHEEL DRIVE BIOTCHH!!!

  • Is it confirmed that it is the engine that blew? It could also be a rear-end blowing up and throwing oil over the hot exhaust causing it to ignite as well considering the amount of flame that came from right around the rear-end. If the engine blew, I would expect the flames and smoke to be coming from the engine bay, not the rear-end.

  • haha shoda bout a ford

  • I don't understand how there is any argument here of how chevys are bad or american cars..this could happen to ANY car on the track... its just a freak thing that can go wrong..

  • American Muscle....Tee Hee Hee

  • damn lol

  • It could happen to any car. A lot of Ferrari's burned up in the last years. As well Lambo's and other cars.

    Simply happens.

I'm not Chevrolet fan, but Corvette is a great car.

  • imo I think it's best to slow down all the way until ur at the point where ur about to hit then avoid.. cause if u do it too early and u go into the grass the speed like goes down single digits while sliding.. so if ur sliding at say 120mph.. u would go to like 110mph after like 30 feet.. but if u slowed to like 80mph u would slow down to like 70mph in like 20ft..

  • thats american quality XD

  • subaru ftw

  • fucking chev

  • 0:08 Driver: fire the turtle shell now?

    0:10 Passenger: Now...

0:11 Driver: OH FUCK IT WORKED!

  • @COMMYCABOOSE hhahaahaha classic shit u had me laughin

  • @COMMYCABOOSE lol

  • Driver to Navigator : "Shut up and get your hands out of my face, I have this under control!"

Anyway, I'd like to know with modern engine management how a stock Z06 manages to blow it's motor without even trying, especially in such a dramatic fashion. And I don't want to hear, "because it's a Chevy". With today's cars having rev limiters, that's damn near impossible really. Something obviously was not right with that particular Vette from the get go.

  • never would have happend to any BMW..

  • Subaru Impreza WIN !!!

  • look at how nicely the subaru steers off road around it.

  • wow so much shit talk on here lol. not a chevy fan but their ls7 is a great motor you sound uneducated to say otherwise. so something went wrong here it happens atleast its not som stupid foregin car! American muscle! except for dodge lol

  • GM is shit period. Get a good, reliable car like that Sti that was following that p.o.s. z06

  • You're lucky you didn't blow the weld on the intak- wait, what?

  • @INEEDNAWZZZ now me and the mad scientist has to rip apart the block and replace the piston rings you fri.....ummmm...???

  • Lol, stop bitching, it's funny how you faggots talk shit about Imports but when your shit fucks up, you get all offended

  • Granny shifting not double clutching like you should.....you're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didnt blow the welds on the intake!

  • can anyone talk about how well this guy handled getting sideways? lmao good job catching your car man!

  • typical chevy

  • Before people start talking trash about the Vette. There are PLENTY of videos on here with Supras, DSM's, and other imports blowing their engines. Any car and I mean any, if pushed to extreme conditions continously something over time is going to break. I do not care what kind of car it is. It always happens so why don't some of the people making ignorant comments go get an education before opening your mouth.

  • @wildstar43 the difference is, those cars are usually pushing double the hp they come with stock, if not more...

    that z06 is probably stock

  • yall r some hater vette are one of the best production cars out there..... American Muscle All Day!!!

@69mankini ya sonata is shitty its not fuckin with american muscle

  • FROM WHAT I HURD THE GUY YELLED NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS, LIKE TORETO..... THEN I THINK HE YELLING AGAIN TO "DRIFT IT DRIFT IT DRIFT IT" REALLY FAST

  • My Sonata will never blow and I got pretty much the same hp to the wheels as a vette

  • @69mankini LOL @ Sonata

  • @69mankini lol ur a funny fuck

  • Is this VIR? I have been there several times. :)

  • Wow, to all the, "That's a chevy for ya" comments. Did you ever think of how many videos of none GM cars you can find on the side of a track smashed up or on the side of a road blown out? How many Vette videos can you find like this? not many. this is such a popular video because it is THAT RARE. I still don't understand why you people pull out the tape measurer for your dicks...

  • @Arcamensios Even if vette are rarely in video to blow up mecanic is mecanic. Any motor can blow up. On a track you have more chance to do it. So GM, honda, ferrari etc... so Im all agree with you but it true for every car!

  • @Arcamensios Have you ever driven a GM? They just....they feel cheap. For those of us that wouldn't describe ourselves as cold and detached people, who can get a good feel for a car, GM's just don't really appeal to us after we've driven a few.

  • @SirKowalski666 i currently own a 2010 SS Camaro. I have done some work to it. Installed a supercharger, new exhaust system, upgraded the suspension and had a mechanic tune the engine. In the end I have a Camaro with 730HP. All for the sweet cash of $20K ... I had traded in a new Chevy work truck. Worked out great. The car handles it's excess of power very well. Who is the "us" and how does this justify blatantly insulting Chevrolet and her owners?

  • @Arcamensios The "us" are the people that can tell the difference between quality and shit. Sorry, I thought I was more clear about that. I'm not insulting GM owners personally, just their taste in cars and the fact that alot of them defend a shitty company to the death when there's plenty of better, faster, more high quality cars out there in the price range, but hey, to some people a car is a car, it depends on who you're talking to, everyone's different.

  • @SirKowalski666 see that is where yomu are wrong because I have not seen a single "us" come out and state this. What exactly do you have in mind that is so glorious and righteous? Your intelligence level is of a child's, "better, faster, more high quality cars" Really? Okay, name me off a car within the this Vette's price range that is what you said...the title of the Daft Punk song....

  • @Arcamensios Well first of all, plenty of people know that GM is junk. Alot of them just go on with their lives and buy the cars they want to instead of making fun of people for buying shit. I think it's funny once in a while to poke a jab at you guys. Why get so serious about it man? If you like your car, great, have fun. Anyway, I don't look at vehicles in terms of "stock vs. stock", I look at how much money into it. There's plenty of blown pony cars that will run a vette for alot less cash.

  • @SirKowalski666 why didn't you pick a flip-flop sided perspective in the first place? why did I have to waist my time debating with you just for you to come back with some tree hugging hippy response?

I was hoping you would name off a better car. Why didn't you? In any matter, considering if you did. I would have sent you the current street legal production car records at the Nurburgring track to prove you a fool.

  • @Arcamensios Tree hugging hippy response? I have a thing for ak-47's and machetes actually, but ANYWAY, like I said, I don't look at these types of things "stock for stock", I look at how much total money has been spent on a vehicle and how much performance is available in said vehicle, and there's countless street-legal muscle cars (from all eras) that'll walk a vette for less money. Besides, how long do you think a stock vette will hold up to launches or weekend road course use?

  • @SirKowalski666 Alright well thank you for publicly acknowledging an extreme hatred for GM and the Vette. This is really all I wanted to get out of you to show everyone else on YouTube. I wasn't about proving you wrong. It was about enlightening everyone of the arrogance and ignorance that is displayed on here. As stated earlier by another YouTuber... all cars break down eventually. To act like an infant and troll GM fans is.. well being an infant.

  • and the tree-hugging comment was a stereo type of being uneducated and flip-flopping towards what I was trying to tell you. I have a rifle in every corner of my house and sever set of kitana blades but I listen to ambient music... so what is your point? You don't think tree-huggers own guns or like blades? weapons and using weapons for war are two different things. again... I already got what I wanted from you. good day.

  • @Arcamensios Look man, with all due respect, my IQ was over 120 in fuckin' 2nd grade, I have no idea what it is now but you can't possibly assume i'm uneducated because I think GM makes junk. I come from a military family as far as the hippy thing goes, and i'm not a very "hippy-ish" person by nature, I like conflict, I like fights. You invited someone to tell you how it is when you first posted about all these people saying "that's a chevy for ya" and I agree, i've owned a few, they're cheap.

  • @SirKowalski666 Okay so why did you act like an infant? Now all of a sudden you have got something to step up to? To correct you I never said "That's a chevy for ya". I quoted a compilation of similar quotes and made a statement in response to people being "haters". So what that fuck is your point then? Are they garbage or are they cheap? because calling a vehicle cheap as opposed to garbage is a complete change in where you stand on this topic.

  • @SirKowalski666 I'm done with this man. Have your last word with it but I have said all I need to say. anyone reading knows where I stand. Being an extremist and hating chevy is just childish. It's like hunting quail before they can get airborne. It's completely ridiculous to claim all chevys are garbage because of one video displaying a guy blowing his engine. the car itself is cheap, but don't mistaken the mechanics of it. It's 1 of 2 American super car performers. that says a lot.

  • @Arcamensios I'm not saying that because of this video, i'm saying it because of my personal experience. In an import vs. domestic arguement, i'll defend GM man, don't get me wrong, but when compared to the quality or toughness etc. of Ford and Mopar, The 80's and up GM's are not up to par in my opinion, that's just what i've learned over the years. You nonetheless have a very fast car, i'm working on a similar goal, but with a 1973 Fury hardtop coupe. We're not so different, you and I.
