Who cares if Dave is gone? He was only a guitarist. Guitarists can easily be replaced. Tom places the exactly the same stuff Dave played. There's is absolutely no difference. The singer is the star, you can replace any musician, but a singer is hard to replace.

@AnthonyYaff That is the most ignorant statement about music I've ever seen. You cannot just replace one of the instrument players and it be ok. One guitar player is not like another. Which is why we have so many different bands. No drummer is the same. Look at Slipknot and Breaking benjamin. Huge difference. The singer is just one part of the band, no part is more important than the other in a band. Best example, in a rhythm, if just one note is placed differently, the song changes.

@chrisb199 I know where you're coming from, but I personally think that AnthonyYaff knows what he's saying. YES, no drummer is the same, however, Tom is playing the same thing as Dave was. I prefer Dave because he's an original member, but Tom's doing fine. He might contribute different material, but he's still a member of Sum 41. Dave said himself that he was losing his creativity and couldn't contribute to the band anymore, so if he stayed, you could been listening to a different Sum 41 today.
