@andycouncil27 From what you're saying... You haven't even tried it. It gives you a warmer spectrum when wearing it(which is good if you have eye strain). These are the type of things that you need to try for a while to actually see the effect. For me, these work wonders. Although it doesn't work for everyone.

Read the instructions it shows how to import your prescription from a doctor to the website. I have to say I just bought these glasses today, and they are awesome. I've just tried a Sheadog Crystalline I bought a couple days ago.The glasses are far from the ad poster. The frame has sharp edges, feels like it's made of cheap cut/folded alu sheet. The glasses or "plastics" are NOT CLEAR, they are shifting color. I edit a lot of photos, which is why I bought them but they are USELESS. Can't see any less glare, or more contrast not to mention the other tech-mambo-jumbo you can read in the description. This was a big waste of time. I want my money back!

You'd know if the glasses are made for gaming if they have a blue / violet tint in the reflection when you look at them. I managed to custom order a pair for 19$, with a titanium lightweight frame and scratch resistant surface, Gunnar is a waste of time if you ask me, although the boxes are nice.

They come in Prescription Rx but you have to find a local eye doctor provider.. It's really rare.. my whole State! only have one distributer of the prescription version.. I only know this because I've really been looking into them... Also, for the special made pair it'll cost 400+. Very little insurances cover these too. So expect to pay a lot out of your own pocket. Hopefully once i get these my eyes don't get to much worse and maybe even improve!

@weLiKeoaTs actually, I have a pair. I'm a website designer and spend large amounts of time working at the PC - let me assure you that this product is fair from ridiculous, they sorted out my eye problems (sore,dry eyes) and I rarely get headaches anymore.

This product isn't going to turn you into the lazer man out of x-men, or give you super-sight, but it sure does help those people who suffer from spending extended time at the PC, I swear by them.

@50nollieman I'd recommend them to anyone spending any length of time staring at a screen, gaming or no gaming they will allow you to focus a bit more and remove the strain on your eyes. been using them 4-5 months now, noticed a lot of difference in my eyes personally, I used to always get red/sore eyes, these glasses prevent that as long as your not extremely overdoing it. :)

@solozaur It does change your colour preception a little, although the cool thing is, they are designed to tint the white light, and make it into a pale yellow colour, at the minute I have blues,reds and greens on my screen, and there is hardily any difference in colour if at all with the shades on or off, where as the white is tinted, so it hasn't been a big deal for me.

You could always lift them off for a second to double check you've got everything how you want it though.

I never have eye issues when designing at home, where I use very low lighting and a good 16:9 monitor.
