As already stated, this is a very graceful dance. Thank you for posting. I think tai chi beginners might be mislead however. Most of the precepts of tai chi have been improvised and would certainly cause knee and back problems for a beginning tai chi player, especially if you move on to tai chi sword or other weapons. I would recommend the following video by another young lady to those interested in the tru art of Tai Chi... pay particular notice to how straight she keeps her back :)
@EchoChick2009 There does appear to be a bit of leaning forward in this, I didn't notice the last time I saw it but since I started learning this set I can see it. I think as long as that's pointed out though, it's a good example for a beginner to follow, it's very fluid, she has good balance and I think she moves at the perfect pace (or at least, at the pace I like to do my own tai chi lol.) Is there anything else the beginner should pay close attention to, good or bad?
Great video, I want to learn Tai Chi-24 form, I'm begginer, but I think that this form is very relaxing, peaceful, is harmony and equilibrium (balance) of soul for me. Thank you for posting of your video and for your lesson. I wish you well!
couldnt believe the negative comments!!! surely this shows true grace and a beautiful expression of the Tao! have humility guys we all express the movement of the Tao uniquely. when you truly allow the flow through you no rules apply.

Perfect!!! That's what I call "to be beyond technique" Just filling harmony in move, follow what's inside and swim, swim, swim... eternal swimming in energy. Thaks for inspiration JUNKO.
"To the ordinary being, others often require tolerance. To the highly evolved being, there is no such thing as tolerance, because there is no such thing as other."
Being someone that has no formal training in this area I must say that the previous comments mean nothing to me, just a bunch of nit pickers, but the video has made my mind to seek training! I've studied aikido for a few years and this video makes me feel awe!
damn CCKTJ u comment to much about her style, If u know better, why don;t u post a vid about u showing to us what is she doing so wrong! sa moara mata cu figurile tale!
Good video. However, you have not understood the true form of Tai Chi. There are too many errors in your moves and I don't want to point them out here one by one. But I do want to advise you to learn from a reputable Tai Chi teacher.
Arching of the back during move 19, the move is done by squatting lower, not bending the back, who's her teacher?! The whole thing is just so messed up. It's either she go have proper training or stop posting vids on youtube misleading every viewer!!!
How could she even get to be a coach waith this standard??? Knees over toes, the back is slanted, the supporting leg during a bow stance isn't positioned at 45 degree with reference to the leg in the front, elbow over shoulders, her weight transfer is wrong, centre of gravity is always not at the proper spot, lifting of the sole during her crouching moves.
Like seriously....if she really goes for a competition, she would get first place, provided that she's the only one taking part...... How could she even get to be a coach waith this standard??? Love to see the tremendous focus and relaxation at the same time of the person doing the form. Would like to find a way to get a copy of this video- just starting learning this form and this is a beautiful model to follow.
she looks really graceful and I'm sure there's benifit in her practice however for me it's not on to let your knee extend past your toes. But mayby thats just the way I've been taught
@ColonelCrockett I wasn't commenting on the practicallity of the form, I was mentioning her specific form. I'm not all that impressed with my comment though either, it was silly and perhaps inappropriate. Thanks for commenting :-)
I enjoy tai chi, and this demonstration is very nice and smooth. My problem is that I always seem to look like Im doing some sort of kata. Too much force and not enough fluidity. Hopefully I will learn to not be so choppy. ^_^
As a beginner this is so graceful and flowing. My problem is I keep doing mirror style as I do it!! Hard to reverse but I'll keep persisting! What a beautiful video and my crook knee and lower back will benefit even tho' they groaned at first! Love it!
I love this! Original and aesthetically beautiful; refreshing to see something this original; great choice of music and interesting camera movement; as far as the Tai Chi, I cannot fault it, it is excellent. As long as the principles are met - and I think that they are here- this is true Tai Chi!
good, though your genre still remains that of old 85's. the 24's genre is a bit different. it's more compact and gentle. for example, it is supposed when you are doing yunshou (wheel), your hands no higher than your head/forehead.
Oh my gosh, THANK YOU! I'm doing a report on this for a psychology class and I'm trying to learn how to do simplified yang style. It's hard to figure out what to do from the book I checked out of the library. Thanks for posting this!
Looks lovely nice music, any attempt to apply these applications will lead to falling on your backside. Rooting is hollow may as well walk on a tightrope for balance, joint alignment does not follow intended force for maintenance or application. Sink the chi man, its floating on the roof.
I agrre with you I practice with an old chinese guy in sydney and what I notice is that I am developing power and it is very hard for peoople to push me over, also the form I do is in stark contrast to competition form tai chi
I have seen a lot of Ge of t'ai chi chuan. Ge of this t'ai chi chuan is the most wonderful to have ever seen. Is she Japanese?Sharpness in a beautiful form and the flowing limited part is indeed splendid. This Ge looks like the flowing large river. Very wonderful. Touching. Artistic.
Incredible

To dear shameful commentators.
Her Tai Chi is true.
You are learning the spread Tai Chi well.
You are mistaking that this Tai Chi is true.
You cannot teach to her. You also have nothing.
You should go out from your cages.
Then, you understand surely.
What can you learn from her?
childco 1 year ago
@childco - Humility is the first lesson that is taught in Chinese martial art. Obviously you have not learned it. That is shameful.
The comments I gave to JunkoFukuda also applies to you.

You have absolutely no internal structure. This is fine if you're doing Taiji Dance. However, for Taiji Chuan, this is pretty terrible.
