My friend's favorite sport is hockey and I have nothing against hockey but maybe 3% of the worlds population has even played ice hockey and if everyone played hockey many of the current NHL players wouldn't even be good enough to be a pro. Where as a sport like basketball has been played by most people in the world. In most cases they move away and it is a complete dedication to the game. so these guys have made that commitment. so you can't just play hockey and go pro. it takes a lot more than that.
