@chloeanniemay It does if you can get through it. It's not easy by any stretch of the imagination. It asks you to go at your capacity for between 30-60 minutes a day 6 days a week for 2 months. I don't refer to it as "Insanity" I refer to it as "my daily self inflicted a** kicking." They're not joking when they hint at your inner masochist. It hurts, a lot, but if you can get through it, you won't be sorry you did.
@chloeanniemay i weighed 422 months on February of 2011, I did 2 rounds of Insanity and a 35 day veggie juice diet after, havent worked out for 3 months now and I weighed myself and I was at 299, point being yes it definitely works, I already started my 3rd round this new years. TIP : The program only works if your willing to sacrifice some foods and drinks. No Soda, and No Ice cream, no sugary shit all day period.
Just finished my second day of Insanity, I have done P90X for 2 cycles and am in the Army so I know what a good workout feels like, and insanity is one of the best I have ever done!!
We did this one day in gymnastics a couple years ago, I guess right when it came out. I've heard great things about it, but I never realized it was the same video until just now. Damn! Shit was hard, if you do this, be prepared.

Max Interval Training lol in the Marine Corps they call it the Quarter Deck, it does work though if you do it on your own seeing as no one's going to be spitting and screaming in your ear.
@asabry95 this should be fine. You go at your own pace. P90X is really great as well but it uses a lot of weights and or resistance bands. Either is great if you want to lose weight and get in amazing shape
If you want to lose weight, this program is great for you. But if you think you are going to get big or 'ripped' you are kidding yourself, you won't build any discernable muscle doing bodyweight excercise

I have completed a round of Insanity. To tell you the truth there are still exercises that I can't do on the videos. While doing it you have to remember to do what you can do, and sometimes that means substituting exercises, or doing them slower. If you watch the videos you'll see that even the people on the video who some of them are trainers/aerobics instructors/marathon runners/military guys, these people are in great shape already and they are failing at certain points in the program.
@tinklelis yeah i have asthma and i did it just remember not to push it too far and stop if your uncomfortable. even then you should probably check with you physician to make sure you can handle it
Im doing the P90x right now and im just looking for a good challenge and the p90x to me is so far pretty freaking good! Cause to me insanity seems to be more high impact cardio type thing when the p90x seems to me more like an over all strength workout. Any one willing to help me out??
@BadRat32 I have completed insanity once and am halfway through my second round and am crossing it over with p90x. Insanity is definitely more high impact and focuses on cardio. Using interval training Shaun T and the insanity crew will have you working out in your own sweat but p90x is more for muscle building and balance and it will definitely help you build muscle more than insanity
ive been doing this workout for 2 weeks and ive already lost 2 or 3 inches and im a lot stronger. it rally works...fast! but youve gotta get through the sore muscles after day 3! if you can do that, youll see results. this week, im feeling great! my body is craving the workout because it feels so much stronger. id definately recommend this to anyone!

@TheDrJD Its intense cardio, you will burn calories. If youre in shape, it wont demolish your body, but it WILL render you sore and worn out. Its fitness all around, and the least I could say is, try it. It will bring your endurance to an all time high if youre already fit.

love doing insanity workouts. i never used to sweat when i workout, that's until i got these dvds, now not even five minutes and im sweating. I would recommend you to be in some decent type of shape before attempting, but if you're not you can start off at your own pace as long as your trying your best and you will continue to improve just dont quit.
Insanity is a great workout but not for people who is extremely out of shape or have a bad heart. Many people does hurt themselves doing this. Get yourself in a decent type of shape first and then do insanity. Look at all the people who do instanity. None of them are like 300 lbs. This excise is NOT for beginners.

@de4thmoon Im not an expert (of course) but this program is an extreme calorie burner. So its not really recommended if your skinny because you will lose weight. I don't know if you want to get in shape of get a good cardio but in your case it's not a good idea to do this program unless your ready to eat more than 3500 calories a day.

Anyone who uses Insanity knows it doesn't build you up like lighting or P90X. It burns the fat but builds little muscle which is good for people who want that type of result.

I love Insanity, I am a graduate, I did it for 5 months and lost over 20lbs (I was already pretty thin). But in reality, if any of you want to be like Shaun T then this is the wrong workout. Without a doubt you must incorporate some sort of resistance/weight excercies in your schedule in order to get that sort of results. Cardio is not the best answer.
Anyone trying to get the results like Shaun T you need to be strict with what you eat. only then will you shift the weight other wisey ou will just look the same you were when you first started the work out.......

@jhenrichson FYI the key to losing weight is nutrition first then exercise. Many people don't relize that is why EVERY weight loss program incorporates a diet. Weight loss is 70% diet and 30% exercising, so if you ate junk while doing it, chances are your results wouldn't be impressing. These DVDs have changed my life. My running and cycling times have all improved. These exercises are not for the weak, feeble, or lazy people. You have to want to do it. Mind over matter. Amazing results will happen if you stick with this program. These DVDs are only for the strong minded and strong willed people who want to take their training to the next level. They are brutal but well worth it.

Im doing the P90x right now and im just looking for a good challenge and the p90x to me is so far pretty freaking good! But one guy told me that Insanity is harder...Is there anyone that has done both and can tell me?? Cause to me insanity seems to be more high impact cardio type thing when the p90x seems to me more like an over all strength workout. Any one willing to help me out??

@BadRat32 I have completed insanity once and am halfway through my second round and am crossing it over with p90x. Insanity is definitely more high impact and focuses on cardio. Using interval training Shaun T and the insanity crew will have you working out in your own sweat but p90x is more for muscle building and balance and it will definitely help you build muscle more than insanity

ive been doing this workout for 2 weeks and ive already lost 2 or 3 inches and im a lot stronger. it rally works...fast! but youve gotta get through the sore muscles after day 3! if you can do that, youll see results. this week, im feeling great! my body is craving the workout because it feels so much stronger. id definately recommend this to anyone!

I never really believed in home workouts, until i decided to try this. Insanity sums it up perfectly. Ive only done it for a couple weeks and can already tell a difference. If your serious about getting in better shape, this is for you

@TheDrJD Its intense cardio, you will burn calories. If youre in shape, it wont demolish your body, but it WILL render you sore and worn out. Its fitness all around, and the least I could say is, try it. It will bring your endurance to an all time high if youre already fit.

Insanity is the shit I gave up a few times but back on and gonna stick to it I don't care how long it takes this is a really hard intense work out it not for people who are 300 400 pounds it to lose weight and gain muscle and diet is so important you need to eat healthy and drink water water not soda or juice water it is the hardest workout on DVD trust me

love doing insanity workouts. i never used to sweat when i workout, that's until i got these dvds, now not even five minutes and im sweating. I would recommend you to be in some decent type of shape before attempting, but if you're not you can start off at your own pace as long as your trying your best and you will continue to improve just dont quit.

Insanity is a great workout but not for people who is extremely out of shape or have a bad heart. Many people does hurt themselves doing this. Get yourself in a decent type of shape first and then do insanity. Look at all the people who do instanity. None of them are like 300 lbs. This excise is NOT for beginners.

@de4thmoon Im not an expert (of course) but this program is an extreme calorie burner. So its not really recommended if your skinny because you will lose weight. I don't know if you want to get in shape of get a good cardio but in your case it's not a good idea to do this program unless your ready to eat more than 3500 calories a day.

Anyone who uses Insanity knows it doesn't build you up like lighting or P90X. It burns the fat but builds little muscle which is good for people who want that type of result.
My experience is combining Insanity with other workouts.

I love Insanity, I am a graduate, I did it for 5 months and lost over 20lbs (I was already pretty thin). But in reality, if any of you want to be like Shaun T then this is the wrong workout. Without a doubt you must incorporate some sort of resistance/weight excercies in your schedule in order to get that sort of results. Cardio is not the best answer.

Guys, Gals! Buy this program! It is well worth the money. Take the advice from an outsider. Im on day 59... I started at 260 lbs. Today, I weigh in at 215! If you want to get fit, this is your ticket. Just follow the nutrition guide and do the daily exersice for 63 days

@jhenrichson FYI the key to losing weight is nutrition first then exercise. Many people don't relize that is why EVERY weight loss program incorporates a diet. Weight loss is 70% diet and 30% exercising, so if you ate junk while doing it, chances are your results wouldn't be impressing. But congratualtions on your results and i wish you the best for the future:)

Guys, I really want to try it and I think I am capable of managing it. But the thing is because of my medical condition I cannotdo more than ten pushups per day. Everything else is fine, push ups are only problem

These DVDs have changed my life. My running and cycling times have all improved. These exercises are not for the weak, feeble, or lazy people. You have to want to do it. Mind over matter. Amazing results will happen if you stick with this program. These DVDs are only for the strong minded and strong willed people who want to take their training to the next level. They are brutal but well worth it.
