The way I understand it was that HE wasn't liked by many ppl so the other defendants allowed their lawyers to do their work, but he waved his right to all trials. The charge? Attempted murder of an off-duty police officer. Then, in 1979, he led a violent prison break attempt that resulted in the death of a fellow inmate.

The way I understand it was that HE wasn't liked by many ppl so the other defendants allowed their lawyers to do their work, but he waved his right to all trials. Oh, I think he is guilty but I think he is taking blame for crimes that others commited too.If you or anyone else sat down and read about this case, the FBI tried to knock on doors, but the ppl they were looking for were allerted as soon as they left. The FBI got shot at several times on one visit, so the blame goes both ways!

Mr Wolfe is incorrect on his facts. There were 2 cars - not 1. Neither car was black. Joe Stuntz was not killed until later - during the standoff. AIM members shot back before that. The 2 agents were not killed in the shootout - they were wounded and then executed later. None of this is in dispute. The only question is who pulled the trigger and executed them. It is true that, if Leonard had been tried with Bob and Dino, he would have been acquitted. Known racist judge? No. Otherwise, I agree.

The whiteman been trying to keep us from coming together for yrs and I see the whiteman still hate you guys just as much as the others. Peltier did not kill the feds as accused. But he did kill Anna Mae and her best friend. I find it fitting he is serving a double life sentence! BUT, AIM heads should be serving the sentence also beings that they were the ones who ordered the hit on Anna Mae!

JE Hoovers FBI killed Rev. King and covered up the JFK murder. What are the chances that their agents were acting illegally the day they were shot? Pretty good in my opinion. To refuse to release Peltier is to deny the illegal actions of our govt. that have been well documented. The people who have convinced me he was guilty are the people who were there that day not the court or news articles. Those there that day say he shot the agents in cold blood. The first two were aquitted on self defense not because of lack of evidence,which is just considering those there that day all say the agents did not identify themselves and fired at them. Shooting 2 wounded helpless men laying there is Murder. That's what people who were there that day say and what Peltier brags about

Get your facts straight and the sequence of events. The agents that were killed did NOT kill the man Killsright. He was killed later that day by a BIA sniper when they surrounded Jumping Bull after the agents had already been murdered.
