It may be awesome to be blown away, but from a brass players perspective, its impressive to see a group playing detailed music with precise playing without crass sounds on the move too. On the level of difficulty that show was, that was fine brass playing.

@Wahl95 SCV experiments frequently to find new ways to entertain its audience. Not many people use Bartok or Ligeti because of the style of music. Its something to provoke interest really without being another corps, parking on the field and playing fortissimo on a big ass chord. It has spectators raising eyebrows, but just watch more of the shows multiple times, they'll grow on you.

you know there are great moments in corps outside the top 12. i mean whenever you see a vid on here saying top moments of so and so year you automatically expect it to be a clip of the loudest moments, solos, dancing, stuff you expect from the top 12. but what about the other corps. they may not have made finals but wow i was there all three days. i mean what about the Troopers infiniti chord. or acadamy's pic trumpet duet and so on. i suggest broadening your horizons.

What a freaking amazing year for DCI. I think my favorites of the year were Scouts and Crown.

As for the Cavaliers, once you look past all the upside down stuff, it was actually a really boring, sexist show. (all it did was talk about how awesome the male chromosome is)
