He is Kim Wilde's little brother. He was promoted as "England's answer to Jimmy Osmond", but had a lack of chart success, though this song was a minor hit and was well known enough for Snow Patrol to do a cover version. Ricki eventually went behind the scenes and started writing and producing songs for Kim. So the 12-year-old kid you're hearing on this clip wound up co-writing "Kids In America", among other things.

I actually know the original artist that wrote this song I used to live with him and his family unfortunately his dad passed away and he fell into a deep depression which turned him to be a drug attic..........poor guy.........I miss my best friend
