  • The main sequence is very well edited!

  • Great idea for the new Star trek movie, maybe the the entire population of Vulcan including Spock's mother have been assimilated by the Borg

  • just bring on the next fucking show on pronto , and it better have the borg in it????

  • @banoffee234

David Foster has a proposal for a new Star Trek TV series. I hope that CBS decide to take his proposal serious and go for it. Even though I'm still excited for the next movie in May 17, 2013.

"He discusses where this new series would fall in the Star Trek canon (pre-2009′s “alternate canon” from the movie, post-Voyager and that it is intended “to return Star Trek to its original series roots in big and mighty ways, without disregarding the other series and movies.”

  • fake

  • @OneSunRed

Of course it is fake, it's fan made. Did you read the title? I'm not one of those idiots that like to make a fan trailer and called it as the official trailer.

  • @OneSunRed no shit its fake read FAN MAD dumbass

  • actually Shatner has a book out spock had mind melted with himself from the mirror universe and learned that the borg was no longer a threat in that universe if its done right when picard went back in time they could no longer be a threat in chris pines era as well

  • Good idea but how about swap borg for species 8472 or some relatively unknown enemy.

  • ha! nice!

  • its good =D

  • No offense but this is awful. Your plot synopsis doesn't even make sense. Bad, bad, bad!

  • There are two people the Borg will never defeat. Captain Kirk and Chuck Norris.

  • It would be nice to have the 'original' crew battle the Borg in Star Trek 12, but I won't hold out any hope for it.

  • Now, that would make for an awesome movie! It would also make the Borg look like he ominous force they are supposed to be too. Voyager kinda neutered them in a lot of ways.

  • The alternate Enterprise won over the Borg-technologicaly advance Romulan mining ship, the Narada...well, because of the red-matter mostly destroyed the ship as well. So, now you have the prime (the past Captain Kirk, and the present Picard), and the more advanced past alternate Kirk....all collide into one armada to help each other to win over the Borg. Oh, yeah...this CAN work! ;)

  • @Ashenion22

I thought it would be cool have the Borg in the next movie where the original crew finally get to face them since the crews of TNG, DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise NX-01 got to face them (the Borg are one of my most favorite baddies in the Star Trek universe) and would be nice to see Shatner's Kirk one more time and Picard (my most favorite captain) again. It would be kind of like a Kirk vs Picard (but mainly Kirk & his crew vs Locutus, Borg Queen, & the Borg Collective) type of movie.

  • @TheStarTreker When did DS9 face the borg? i dont remember that.

  • @viciousiceman

It was on the very first episode, "Emissary" where Benjamin Sisko had an encounter with the Borg and Locutus (Picard) at the Battle of Wolf 359 and where his wife was killed 3 years before he was signed to DS9. My trailer shows some of the clips from that episode.

  • @TheStarTreker OH YEAH! duh, im retarded. lol i wish that they had at least one other battle with the borg. But yeah i forgot about the first episode lol, and im supposed to be a star trek geek :S haha

  • @viciousiceman

Even Jonathon Archer and his Enterprise crew only had one battle with the Borg also. That episode was linked to Star Trek First Contact and Star Trek TNG's episodes, "The Neutral Zone", "Q Who", and "Best of Both Worlds, part 1 & 2". I'm sure you might knew that already. :)

Lol. It looks like you and me have a lot in common. I notice you have some favorite Resident Evil and Halo videos, and KOTOR videos. Oh if you love KOTOR then you should definitely love Mass Effect too. :)

  • @TheStarTreker Fuck yeah, mass effect is the shit!!! Lets just say im so nerdy, that my friend played random star trek soundtracks and i was able to tell him what they were and what movie or tv show they were off of. lol

  • If William Shatner is in the next movie I will NOT see it. Great trailer though. Ive always thought bringing the Borg back would be Seven's deal. I mean, Voyager delivered the Borg/Seven to Earth. That set the stage for a great movie storyline with Seven being the new Queen attempting to assimilate Earth from within Starfleet itself. BRING US A VOYAGER MOVIE!

  • I liked the trailer.

  • C'mon, Paramount and Abrams bring the Shat back. You know that's what we want. Nice faux trailer.

  • @thestartreker I understand that the designs have to change with the time, but there is also no reason they cant give it a more modern look while holding to the designs classic lineage, same with a few other things as well just saying is all :)

  • That was fucking awesome. I got goose bumps about 1/2 way through.

  • excellent. truly excellent spoof.

  • excellent. truly excellent. :)

  • omfg for real ???sto was the first thing I can remember on tv kinda why I have a tv today the young peps around me say tv is going away I say they are fulla shit!!!!Tv has only begun my hd tv in a few years will go the way of the do do bird!!!3d tv and photonics soon available I know you say what but just watch !!!!

  • I love these what-if trailers -- well done!

  • I threw up and chose =Disliked= at "From J.J. Douchebag"

  • That's one of the best fan-made trailers I've ever seen! There are some grammar problems, but the rest of the video was so awesome I didn't even care. If I was a movie reviewer, I would give this video a 4.5 out of 5! Keep up the good work, StarTreker!

    So awesome!

  • nice! i love it =)

  • this is a very nicely done vid honestly sure its not the best you could get but since there working with vid clips its pretty solid work PLUS the story idea behind it is well thought i think and though i STILL HATE the new trek enterprise look in 11 at least the engines/pylons/ how the weapons fire i think that if abrams made a movie like this i'd go see it better then the rumors flying that he's going to 'reimagine' wrath of khan or space seed

  • I'm done with my 3rd Trailer, but i've seen it so many times that I can't evaulate it anymore. Please tell me what you think, and whats wrong with it.

(Sorry if this is a double post)

  • Cool!

  • This can only mean one thing, I must double time on my third trailer!

  • Lol. You still can make it I won't stop you. :) You probably can make a better one than me anyways. You just inspired me. You gave me an idea of making my own. I really want to be a real film editor someday. You should check my Superman video called "Save Superman" if you like Superman also besides liking Star Trek. It's not actually on my channel it's on the SaveSupermanCom channel.

  • I made it as a 10 minutes ad for the Save Superman Campaign website a year ago. Some people from the film industry saw it and they were impressed and said I have potential in video production and should succeed more education on it. It's one of my best videos I ever made.

  • So did you like mine even I know that you thought up the idea first of having the Borg in a Star Trek 12 trailer? I think you and me both have the best trailers for Star Trek 12. I have seen some others but they are not near good as both of ours. Some didn't even put much effort in theirs, they were just lazy.

  • Well, I don't mean to be mean, but here I go: It seems choppy, has flow problems. Plus, some of the scene are streched, badly. You have some good ideas in it thought, I think i'll be stealing some...I'd also recommend next time putting in more sound effects

  • What do you mean by choppy, flow problems? I'm curious. Some of the scenes are stretched? Are you referring to the scenes from The Best of Both Worlds, Emissary, Scorpion, and Dark Frontier? Actually I was trying to make them in widescreen since they were in full screen format and so they can match the scenes from the movies which were in widescreen format. I thought I have enough sound effects. There is some that you probably didn't hear since the music was a little loud at some parts.

  • Well you have to at least admit my trailer is a lot better than some others, right?

  • And by choppy, I mean exactly that, the trailer doesn't flow smoothly, it seems to suddenly end somewhere and move in a new direction, like at 0:36, 1:57, 2:45

at 3:18, grammer problems "has return"

  • Plus, your grammer at 2:22 is rather poor

"Will joined forces" (Don't worry, I suck at grammer too) Also, the reason I did my video was because I hated the new enterprise look...I just can't stand looking at it.

Well, better then that XII Phoenix Rising crap, and the one from Beau4321

  • I don't think you really get my trailer completely. At the beginning it supposes to start in the prime timeline then to the past to the alternative timeline. Yeah mine still needs a little more work and improvements. You are correct that my grammar does suck though. Lol. What's wrong with the original Enterprise's new design? I think she looks sexier than ever. :D

  • What! I thought Beau4321 done a great editing on his especially the text he put in there which I don't know how he did that so nicely even all that he used Star Trek (2009) clips. Overall I do think mine is a slightly better You should check out skt556's (Star trek 2011 teaser trailer), his video is really bad.

  • @TheStarTreker

the problem i got with the new design is that its supposed to be before what we see in the TOS show. the tech and design should reflect it, ok i'll allow there to be a few adjustments for story plot of the nero thing alternating the timeline but honestly those engines just do not jive in my feelings they look so stupid the rest ok i'll bend and give it an ok.

  • @robert25archer25

So what, if the new design of the Enterprise and the other props from the new movie don't look exact the same from the original series, woopdy doo. Do you seriously think 1960s tech and SFX would be really appealing today audience? I think not. First the hardcore fans bitch and moan about the tech on Star Trek Enterprise (which took place before TOS happens) and now the new movie. Enough with the picky fan-boyish already for crying out loud. That's all you hardcore fans do.

  • @TheStarTreker Honestly, I think it was us hardcore fans (I've been watching Trek since the first episode in 1966) that had a helluva lot to do with keeping the whole idea of Star Trek alive past the 1968 cancel date for the original show.

That said, this trailer looks pretty good... just please God don't let J.J.Abrams near it!

  • @TheStarTreker is not bing picky about the look it's the fact that it gives the apearance of being far more advanced than the original ever was. I grant you that 60' SFX would not apeal to the newbs but i doubt most have any freakin clue as to who Kirk, Spock and any of the others really are so why even atempt it? IF you wanna make a movie look more advanced then they should have just gone with a post-TNG mpvieA new crew new ship and a new story, could have even been a lead in to a new series.

  • @robert25archer25 I agree, the show Enterprise did a good job showing the old Enterpise in the episode In a Mirror Darkly, that you can tell that the equipment was from a differnt era with differnt concepts to design, but at least the machinery was still advanced. The Defiant totally kicked ass in that episode because it crushed everything in it's way, the suble changes to the bridge and displays were well done. It was really just a matter of architecture from a differnt era.

  • I LOVE it!

  • good but thats just star trek 8 and 6 it would be great if they had the borg in the next film however only problem is that the borg are from TNG!

  • Actually the Borg made an appearance on Star Trek Enterprise, the series with Captain Archer which takes place before Kirk's time. They were the Borg that survived from Star Trek First Contact that were frozen in the North Pole for about 100 years.

  • The Borg are actually in Kirk's time but they never came since they weren't interested and the message that the Borg on Star Trek Enterprise sent wouldn't reach to the Delta Quadrant to Borg Space until the 24th Century which would be reference to TNG's episodes "Neutral Zone" and "Q Who" which would start the loop of Picard's encounter with the Borg all over again.

  • You also forget that the Borg appeared on Star Trek Deep Space Nine's first episode and they appeared on Star Trek Voyager several times. Even Star Trek Legacy the video game and a Star Trek novel or somewhere else says that V'Ger from Star Trek The Motion Picture maybe the creator of the Borg. I think Gene Roddenberry said something like that too.

  • You know the Borg in TNG era (Picard's Time) can always decide to travel back in time to the 23rd Century like they traveled back to the 21st Century on Star Trek First Contact if they wanted to.

  • @TheStarTreker Don't you mean IN "Star Trek: First Contact"?

  • well yes i have seen that ep its good but that was becuase of star trek 8 i supose they could continue that in a film but cos they did come from the ST era most star trek fans will probley be a bit hacked of i personly would not cos i think its a good idear

  • Sorry for me not making out of your comment clearly but I think I know what you are saying. Of course not all Trek fans probably won't like the idea but yet a bunch of them didn't like this past Trek movie that came out recently and were a bit pissed off because they thought that J.J. Abrams destroyed/ruined it. However I'm a Trek fan that disagrees because to me it felt pretty like the original Star Trek.

  • Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman are talking about bringing Khan back in the sequel but I don't like that idea because I already saw him once in the original Star Trek episode "The Seed" and a second time on Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan and another thing to me he isn't all that interesting and evil as the Borg are and he is just a lose canon and wants revenge but wants nothing else. To me that isn't a very interesting villain and that kind of bores me.

  • I know that a bunch of Trek fans would probably think I'm crazy from saying that because they think Star Trek II is the best Trek movie from all times in their eyes. However to me Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (where the original Enterprise crew travels back to 1980s to find 2 whales and bring them back with them to the future) is the best Trek movie from all times in my opinion.

  • lol i thought it was real till i was looking for more info on it lol good one guess i should have read the title more carefully

  • Lol. Sorry to disappoint you. It's fake. Yeah it would be awesome if they would make the next movie like this. Oh thank you though. :)

  • I'm so excited I had to say so twice you get 5 stars for bringing this to my attention

  • Thats gonna be sweeeeet I cant wait (for 2 years I will live in anticipation of this movie)

  • looks good

  • Lol. Thanks. :)
