i love how everyone is blaming bonnaroo for all this.... simply face the fact that kanye fucked up and also put on a horriblie show.

bonnaroo has been doing great shows for almost 10 years now...they have seen it all, and done it all.

Why did Phil Lesh announce he that was asked going to cut his set short, so that Kanye coulc go on?

The answer to all these questions is Kanye is an egotistical maniac who doesn't care enough about his fans to acknowledge the fact that waited nearly two hours for him, which is plenty of time for the drugs to wear off...

Kanye simply wanted to go on uncontested.

to Geosphere... They didn't know how to setup Kanye's stage. Firstly major acts bring their own roadies and techs, who are trained in setting up and breaking down that artists stage. Secondly Bonnaroo has handled many a complicated stage setup including Radiohead and And Tool, both of whom went out ontime...

pearl jams overtime caused kanyes set up to lag 2 hours after scheduled. why would he purposely wait to go on uncontested? he was rushing to get started before the sun came out (which it obviously did). his light show was useless because of that. hate him all you want but dont make all those rediculous allegations. do you hear about any kanye fans saying pearl jam was too hopped up on drugs to realize how long theyre sets been going on? or how inconsiderate they were to go on an hour more? no.

Were you even at Bonnaroo???? I suspect you weren't otherwise you would have know this fact. Before Kanye went on they kept announcing (via the big screens) that Kaye would be delayed 15 minutes. They did this for over 1.5 hrs... pushing his set back 15 minutes each time.

Secondly Phil Lesh (who is a legend, a bonnaroo vet, a member of the Dead who help start the festival scene) was asked to cut his set (on a different stage) short so that Kanye could go on. He announced this himself!

I heard from a guy who workd bonnaroo (hes a driver) that Kanye West didn't even arrive at the festival until 2:15 am. Kanye was making an appearance somewhere else (a party in Georgia if I recall) which is why his set time was changed from 8pm untill after Pearl Jam in the first place.. His performace, even without the proper light show was half assed and tired, by the time he actually went on the crowd had really dwindled.

Kanye had the chance to convert a lot of haters but instead he really shot himself in the foot and complained on his blog in the ever so childish ALL CAPS FONT!

And the fact that he uses auto-tune software to mask his inability to sing proves one thing.. While he may be an excellent pop-producer he NEEDS all the lights and effects to distract you from his overall lack of vocal ability, and deliver a passable performance.

And this is just my opinion here, the whole rap opera-bit really cheesy

Instead of standing there with his thumb up his arse he probably should have actually acknowledged the crowd, and perhaps showed his appreciation to the fans for actually staying up to wait for his late arse to fly in from Atlanta.
