I'd like to comment stating that you can use ANY weapon/rounds i.e. lethal/non-lethal on BBE to kill ANY of the B&B bosses when they are in beast form and it will NOT increase your kill count. This is a fact that I, of course, discovered AFTER beating the game on The Boss Extreme (for the BBE) with beating the bosses in Beast Form non-lethally. FML

Good GOD thank you for this, I've been trying to do it following other BBE walkthroughs and speed runs and none of them worked. Half the time she didn't spawn where she did on the vids, and the other smoke grenades didnt work. I watched this one time thinking it was going to be the same again, but lo and behold, on my retry she was right were she should be and I replicated this vid in one go. Many thanks.

@videoshirt lol, same!!! It was a mess with the psyche gauge always going down, finding the boss, which became easy after calling Otacon about an hour and a half after the fight, the frogs, and being careful not to get hit from it's rail gun

@dacbiet Do you mean for this boss fight? There's a guy on YouTube (twinsnakes91) who takes out Raging Raven with one shot and in 18 seconds (Raging Raven Boss Fight in 18 Seconds). It all very well taking these boses out fast once you've been through the game several times, but on the first few play throughs, battling tose bitches with limited firepower and using stealth is a pure adrenalin rush!

There's really no point in a boss strategy where it uses weapons you've earned from doing it before. It's the same with all these raging raven walkthroughs using the rail gun.

This a boss strategy specifically made for those want to tone down the time during this particular battle in a BBE or a Speed Run (You'd know this by reading the freaking title and the description..)

Also since you get these weapons by PLAYING the game before and not getting the BBE emblem itself then by your own definition it's a very useful strategy...

just make sure you throw the smoke grenade infront of the boss dont throw it on her, make it land like right infront of it whichever direction you are from it

This is a cool stategy. The only thing about it is that, from my experience, I've found that she very rarely spawns there. It's harder when she spawns somewhere else because she'll always see you before you can get a shot off

if you are on Big Boss run, you can kill her beast form and it won't count as a kill. Her beauty form you have to tranq. just buy the regular ammo for the MGL-140.

In the "the extreme boss" difficult we can't buy unlethal ammo. So, where did you get the stun granedes for mgl-140??

Kill all the bosses with non lethal weapons and collect the statues they drop. Bosses are Frogs in Act 1, Laughing Octopus, Raging Raven, Crying Wolf and Pyscho Mantis.

hm would this still work if you use the smoke grenade from the grenade launcher? like the launcher can launch grenadem WP grenade, Stun and smoke or does the smoke have to be thrown by hand?

Its the grenade launcher you get for defeating raging raven. You can buy stun grenades especially for it.

You don't want to hit her with the grenade, it needs to land between her legs so she starts to cough.

Depending what difficulty you are on, you can go to drebins shop and buy stun grenades especially for the grenade launcher. they are under the ammo section.

Well I already have the Crying Wolf doll, and also the Solar Gun. But I am on my Big Boss Emblem Run and it would be great if it worked because it would save time and my precious non-lethal ammunition. On The Boss Extreme you only hold 10 (!) of that type of grenade. (10 frag, 10 WP, 10 stun and 10 smoke)

Don't worry about killing the beast form you can frag it any which way you want. Just be sure to Knock her out once she's out of her shell.
