Jacks Dad is the smoke monster, he was the one that told him he has to die! knowing ben hates john - he used him to kill him - and it seems he is using ben now in season 6 - as he diddnt kill him - and is revealing himself to him! remember bens daughter was in the temple - was the smoke monster! she told ben not to kill him this time (As he is in johns body) see he planned it all.
