Well your cam mustbe shit because i have a Canon FS100 with 48x optical zoom and it looks way better at 48x optical on that..i have 2000 Digital zoom but only a third of that is any good,after thatit goes all blocked etc. but your cam should look better at that distance if its 100 digital.check out the canon fs100 zoom tests on youtube and see. Nice video tho thanks.

He doesn't set it to digital zoom, because when it gets that up close, you really can't see anything, it is all pixelized. If you're buying a camera, I wouldn't worry too much about a digital zoom, it doesn't help. up to 150 or so is great, past 200 is pixely, and unstable.

Don't buy panasonic SDR-H80 70X optical zoom, It's my advise. When you take normal view 1x, it's blur and loss of sharpness. When u zoom it, the picture get better and sharper. When u taken at bright red object, something out.

You should get a Telephoto lens, oh and if you turn on Digital zoom it goes further... just worse quality.

Sorry, you cann't see Moon clearly at 70x zoom. What advertise by Panasonic, they never tell you the true. You have to digital zoom it to 100x or 150x.
