  • This shit is just like Payday the heist

  • what gun is al pacino using ?

  • FUCK THE POLICE!!!!!

  • I just bought this movie & watched it. I went 'fuck" when kilmer got shot

  • Probably the best shootout in a movie. Miami Vice had a good shootout, but the movie wasn't any good. Anyone know what Pacino is shooting? Semi Auto .308?

  • @Hungryman97 FN FNC, 5.56x45. I want one ;)

  • So how is this movie on Blu ray?

  • @drkex Pretty darn good

  • watched this for the first time. Awesome movie. I'm a huge robert de niro fan

  • I use the m4 with no attachments in bf3 because I feel like im in heat

  • 6:25 He's just reloading, but why is it so BADASS!

  • reminds me of BF3

  • 1:52 i'd have pulled his feet down and grabbed his weapon

thumbs up if you would have too

  • @Jzigzags Dont need that for me :)

  • @Jzigzags

Like fuck you would. You'd have gotten lit up by the others so fast.

  • @Testement117 but maybe I'd be lucky! :)

  • 01:13 irony?

  • Shoot out starts at 4:18

  • gta 4!!

  • "give me the key"

    "what key"?

    BAM *takes key

"don't move, sit there let it bleed"

    most badass thing ever!

  • pretty stupid of kilmer, if he just gets in the car they avoid that shit.

  • payday the heist ^^

  • Yea 480 is high quality lol

  • WHERE'S THE VAN?!?

    - like if you're a Dane Cook fan

  • @Nightingjaye come on, bro

  • gotta love the part at 10:25 loool :P

  • they dont make these kinds of movies anymore

  • There is only one other movie that does it on this quality and its The Way of The Gun. Between that movie and Heat are two of my favorite movies.

  • @Darksoul01 Can't forget the robbery from The Dark Knight. Not as good as The robbery scene from heat, but Just as memorable.

  • jeez !!! nar nar x10

  • stottlemeyer got shot =(

  • i love val kilmers no delay reaction at the first sign of troube, just lift, aim your weapon, finger was on the trigger instantly. turns around and fires off more rounds like his life depended on it. "its what you do in this moment that matters"-kinda sounds like a black hawk down verse.

  • omg..the first frame, second of the vid and I said "oh shit@!", GREAT MOVIE...i love the 'leap frog' tactic that they utilize outside, my god man.

  • Only in a Mann film have I heard such realistic gunfire!

  • THAT FUCKIN WANGRO! theyd a got away clean...

  • To those trying to point out the supposed "endless magazine" issues in this scene, there are two things to remember: First, the scene cuts to different angles and viewpoints a lot, so it's very likely to miss them actually reloading, which as disciplined as they are in this scene, would be a lot. Second, the shots echo off the buildings, which can make it sound like more rounds were fired than would normally be the case. In any case, I think this scene was done superbly.

  • Would those police vests stop those full auto rounds?

  • @Snowman20 It depends on whether they had trauma plates in them. Only hard armor can stop rifle rounds.

  • @Snowman20 not what your thinkin which is a regular kevlar bullet vest but possibly because variables come into play such as distance, ricochet, direct hit or a round striking glass, metal, like goin thru a car door first. So it depends to answer your question, but NO a high powered rifle such as they have 5.56 or 7.62 no way jose.

  • One of my Fav movies .

  • Assault clips. This is why we can't have nice things.

  • I think the only thing they could have done to make it a little more realistic is to have them all wearing hearing protection. They do that in real firefights, right?

  • @bigred2989 soldiers wear tiny ear plugs sometimes, I dont think cops have that luxury, adrenaline would pretty much eliminate that factor.

  • but still, not as cool as cj or niko

  • This is honestly one of the most realistic shooting scenes in a movie I've seen.

  • @RoYalSmith93 well watch more movies, theres alot but your rite this one is to the T!

  • This scene is brilliant. Heat is a great movie, but it falls apart for me at the end. We all know what's coming, but it takes too long to get there.

  • Michael Mann's secret = cutting the music and letting the raw action GO.

  • what a FUCKIN RUSH lol best part

  • I love the sound here, the fact that its so loud adds tons of realism, its what it would really sound like, in my opinion the greatest action scene in cinema history hands down.

  • Who the fuck care if Pacino would shoot or not? It's a goddamn movie!

  • Gears of War and Resident Evil 4 sure knew where to crib their camera angles from

  • FCC the police!!

  • Epic! The best shootout ever created!

Turn up the sound til your neighbors complain!

  • GTA 4 brought me here

  • this makes gta4 look like gta1

  • Txeyenne es hora de ir nos a dormir when you wake up its no turning back,im going to hibernate,Agur!

  • to kmshakey: I remember Dennis Haysbert from Navy Seals with the bad Mustache and the bad luck. To bad the unit is off the air.

  • Great movie, but the cops acted so unrealistically. The cop would never take a shot with a little girl as a hostage. They would never engage in a fire fight in a crowd full of people. That cop would be fired on so many different levels.

  • @FUZZEYMONKEY While I agree to an extent, if someone opened up on me first, my reflexes would shoot back.

  • @FUZZEYMONKEY

dude, the bad guys fired first. After that all bets are off. The cops are doing what they have to do. Refer to the shootout in West Hollywood were the robbers had full body armor and they had the cops out gunned. The cops were doing everything they had to do.

  • @lilbrother45 They were, but not shooting into crowds of civilians. That, once again would never happen. Why? Because 1 civilian could claim that he was almost shot and sue the city for millions.

  • @FUZZEYMONKEY that is true, but if the cops didn't shot back, more people would die. also with the little girl, he waits to shot when he had the clear shot. this guy with an assault rifle shot at so many cops, so he could waste that girl any second. the cop had to take him out.

  • @yonisdiriye123 No, the cop would not of shot with the little girl in his arms. Even if he had a clear shot. If this happened in real life, i promise the parents would sue the shit out of the city.

  • @FUZZEYMONKEY yeah but his life was in danger as well. the guy turned around and made eye contact and was about to raise his gun and shoot him. he was protecting his life and the girls life. shit happens and he could have hit the girl. but a real cop would have to have confidence under that kind of pressure to do the right thing. what is more important. the life of ONE little girl, or multiple cops/civilians? he had to make that split second choice.

  • @yonisdiriye123 Um, it only works like that in the movies.

  • Oh shiiiii!!!!! Buffalo Bill is there. It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.

  • Movie took to darn long but never the less " great fuckin moovie" mobster voice

  • And then came the North Hollywood Shootout . . .

  • Subcomandante txeyenne! buena suerte en Madrid, El subcomandante arano y yo les deseamos UNA MISION EXITOXA a todo tu commando!Agur!

  • The Flood brought me here

  • Mayhem -1, Mr. AllState - 0.

  • The real criminals work for the banks.

  • This scene gives my boner a boner.

  • @Liquid0479 bonerception!

  • they all got extended clip

  • he falls in the water but at 9:50 he's not wet...fail

  • this is the best shootout I've ever seen

  • @qlump1e I'd surely love to have 1 of Brad Pitt's bottomless magazines.

  • @qlump1e

still to this day, theres really nothing else like it

  • The greatest heist scene in the history of film, bar none.

  • Best shoot out in movie history !!!

  • I like this scene better, You Tube; ' The Matrix Reloaded (4/6) Movie CLIP - Freeway Fight (2003) HD ', & ' The Matrix Reloaded (5/6) Movie CLIP - Truck Stop (2003) HD ', or You Tube, ' Terminator 2: Judgment Day - "Trust Me" (Shootout Scene) HD Edition '. But of course they fictional, while the shootout in Heat could be a real thing!

  • Nothing like seeing this scene for the first time.

  • lol local cops are like ummm i dont make enough for this crap

  • Val Kilmer is a fuckin psycho!!

  • @Tbraves111 he shot everything he dont give a fuck xd

  • @eagle110404 the only person he cares about is himself.

  • I wonder how tight it would be filming a scene like this

  • bank robbery checklist:

    guns -check

    mask and suit -check

    armored car ...fuck it

  • one word: epic.

  • this almost reminds me of those 2 bank robbers in california

  • @xsm22 some people think they tried to copy this movie

  • GTA IV brought me here :)

  • Tom Sizemore is a FUCKIN PSYCHO!!

  • I wouldn't drive w/Dennis Haysbert anyday of the week. You are not in good hands.

  • @Tbraves111 He's just unlucky, we all remember Navy Seals...

  • You know, for an armed bank robber, Mr. Deniro was actually very considerate and polite in this scene.

  • @Cerberusballs Like Dillinger. He didnt take money unless it was on the counter.

  • @gaguy1967 I know, right? Even Vincent treated Max with a fair amount of dignity and respect, even though he took the poor cabbie hostage for the entire night.

  • Great shooutout but a dumb scene all at the same time.

  • welcome to beriut!!!

  • Now that's how gunshots suppose to sound in shootout scenes.

  • @Oddie696 your just saying that because you know they shot this scene with them actually shooting blanks out of those guns to get as accurate of a sound as possible. But they dont actually sound the same as if you heard the shots in person...

  • at least they had sum good bounding in this movie, suppressive fire while moving, tactics gets a C - but what i really wanna know is how they got 70 rounds in that lil magazine

  • Val Kilmer has the most bullets I've ever seen in a 30 round mag. Apparently, he also has a titanium barrel that is resistant to melting.

  • You know what I love about this shootout? None of those unrealistic sparks from missed bullets people do in every action movie. Bullets just do not spark when they hit anything. There may be some exceptions, but I think more of them would look like this. Other than that, this is a pretty impressive shootout scene!

  • what kind of gun does Pacino have?

  • @MWC1184 I believe that this is a shortened FN FNC from the Fabrique National in Belgium.

  • @MWC1184 FN FNC 80

  • what a police failure. if this were real life, those cops should be executed for endangering innocent peoples lifes.

  • @shuairan

What were they supposed to do? Let the bank robbers spray bullets all over Figueroa Street and endanger God knows how many more lives?

  • @dergeier117 the robbers began shooting because they saw the police. so the smartest thing to do would have been to retreat and let the bank robbers go. after all its just some fucking money.

  • @shuairan Its obvious you have no clue how or what policing is all about.Aint gonna sit here and discuss it with you, doubt you would wanna hear it either. This somewhat same scenario took place in North Hollywood '97 bottom line and result: Criminals FAIL once again!

  • @BLUEWHITEBLUEWHITEBL well, the question in such a situation shouldn't be wether the robbers get caught or not, but rather how this can be solved with the minimal risk to innocent lifes, right? so regarding the north hollywood shootout: 7 injured innocent bystanders and 10 injured police men to retrieve only 300,000 $ looks more like a police fail to me.

  • @shuairan You are absolutly right, there shouldnt have been any reason for the police in North hollywood to even go to a gun store to get AR-15 to even out the odds of taking out the two shooters, but in the end thankfully no one was killed with the exception of the bank robbers, but they caused a lot of damage just for $300,000 of loot.

  • @shuairan sure the police should let them go so they can rob more banks and endager more lives.

  • @yonisdiriye123 sight... you don't get it, do you?

  • Iceman flies icecold, no mistakes. He wears you down...then hes got you.

  • Hectic scene. Impressive.

  • @FastAndFurious998 ?they shot 2 out of the 3 of them

  • How many bullets is there in his gun ? Oo

And of course, police can't shoot for crap...and the vilains are crackshots. Such realism...

  • Is that Bubba Smith at 115?

  • Payday the Heist brought me here.

  • @mercenary1121 yep, same here!

  • I like how they wait until they're INSIDE the bank, with all cameras filming, to put their masks on

  • @lazyercy I guess you have not seen the movie, the night before they went under the bank and installed a device into the mainframe that made all the cameras turn off twenty minutes before they went in. Just to clear things up. Watch the movie though you will love it!

  • @lazyercy they turned the cameras off the night before for the specific time fool

  • The saying "fuck the police" and this movie go together.

  • 8:12 EXACLY do not take the expensive car itll make it easier to find u

  • NOW THOSE,ARE GUN SOUNDS

  • the 23 dislikes are cops

  • PAYDAY!!!! .)

  • they were not in "good hands" with Mr. AllState driving

  • @MohammedWasAHomo Holy crap that is him. My god, that's hilarious.

    Tasteful name, btw.

  • no AK-47s?

  • @izuma123 doesn't tom sizemore use an AK pistol? or is it something else (i dont know)

  • @mkusanagi It's actually an IMI Galil. Go on imfdb.org and look up HEAT, it'll give you all the firearms they use in the movie.

  • Lol, CoD players arguing below me.

  • ... How many bullets are in that M4? oO 5:45

  • @GortosXtreme That's not an M4, that's a Colt Car-15. The two bear much resemblance to each other, though....

  • @KlonoaTorqueBow I'm awfully sorry, I'm more into European weapons :D

  • @KlonoaTorqueBow It's actually a Colt model 733, I would go into more detail, but I already posted a comment about it a few monthes ago.

  • I always thought the idea was to not massacre cops.

  • 5:28

    Is he in good hands?

  • @avkhatri Yes! Dennis Haysbert

  • Iron sights? Get an EOTech or an ACOG for crying out loud...

    :D

  • @stopstickers

    you sound like your 12.

  • @Iwent2Jared It's "you're" not "your" ffs.

p.s. your comment makes no sense, even if your grammar was correct.

Merry Christmas and eat the peanut out of my shit... :)

  • @stopstickers

i apologize, i was not aware i was in the presence of an anal grammar nazi.

You still sound like a 12 year old conformist piece of shit.

    Did that make sense?

  • @Iwent2Jared If the 12 year olds around you know what the fuck an ACOG or an EOTech is, my suggestion would be to M O V E.

p.s. eat a bowl of dick.

  • @stopstickers

Do you live in fucking africa?

My 8 year old nephew knows what the fuck an EOTech is. You can thank games and movies for that.

P.S. your comebacks suck ass. or is it "you're"?

  • @stopstickers You don't need an ACOG at those distances, an EO-tech, well, that's a question of taste.

  • @GortosXtreme Without accessories, an ACOG or an EOtech have ZERO magnification. They are MUCH more suited for this scenario than iron sights for CQC.

  • @ stopstickers Correct about the EO-Tech, it's a red dot sight. ACOGs are magnifying scopes, 2.5 to 3.5 times. That's why you sometimes see rifles with an ACOG and an EO-Tech mounted on top of it - one magnifies, the other one doesn't. And while those sights may be nice, you definitely don't need them, they are just more comfortable to use.

  • Al Pacino > Chuck Norris

  • 10/10

  • This movie got me hooked on kane and lynch and payday:the heist!

  • @wrath231 Not to mention that neither of those games would exist without this film.

  • Thats the Best Action oder Shooting Scene of History of Films ... The Sounds of the Weapons are Original and the Power of this Team ... Nice ... u think ur are on the street at the shooting

  • 1. this could easily do a remake and i bet i has or will be done within 4 years, 2. this fucking scene is so gnarly i watched this movie today for the first time and decided to watch this scene again cuz its that fucking nice...easily one of the best realistic shootouts in a movie ive ever scene.......but damn man can they hide rifles like a pro

  • @hitman007carlos

have you seen "The Town" (2010)?

  • @hitman007carlos

    Why remake it?

  • Must have sucked for the guy who got separated from DeNiro's group

  • Wow.

  • I would love to be in the middle of that shootout

  • I wonder if all-state covers this?

  • Gangster.

  • I fucking love this movie. They are all very smart and professional about what they chose to take with them. In other movies they bring pistols and other stupid shit. That's rediculous. Bring a rifle or go home. Rifles are superior in every way to pistols other than the fact rifles are not concealable. A rifle will outperform a pistol in almost every situation. There's a reason rifles are standard issue and pistols are not.
