"professionalism" is a dead end, but the reporters won't tell you cause it puts $ in their pockets.

Newspaper reporters worked their way up. TV reporters had a degree & good hair.

Dallas had 2 newspapers & I worked next to the 'reporters bar' (at an Amnesty International office). In Houston, earlier i knew Ray Miller, a NBC editor, my english teacher had worked for him as one of the first black reporters in Houston (for a 'white' paper). Well paid pro degreed people don't have the same feel.
