  • look like fleas in a ripple tank with an overpowered wave generator operating out of phase.

  • Pls Watch Carefully 1:51 A Collision took place.....

  • excellent footage, awesome slow-mo...thanks for posting!

  • It is always so painful listening to people who don't know the first thing about surfing doing commentary. 1st off, this is not surfing. Secondly, you all sound like kooks when you go "wooooah"

  • @cacoethes138 one day you will grow up and give up riding a boogie board. yeeeew

  • @cacoethes138 i bet you look good wearing your mummies panties

  • @cacoethes138 no, i wont make out with you!!

  • riding a boogie board is not surfing. its for children 12 and under

  • why oh why do i have you live in Australia. all we have in the way of big waves are cyclops and shipsterns which dont get me wrong are great but hard to get to and their fucking nuts!

  • more like spongers...not that mich surfing

  • did anybody see the guy get pwned at 2:47??

  • sooo epic

  • 1:53 wipeout xD

  • big, but not 10 foot...

  • 1:41 praymantis style attack

  • 1:00 he said "FUCK THISSSS!!!"

  • my uncle fred simpson is the old man at the wedge if u boddysurf there u would no who he is

  • any board riding sports are "supposed" to be prohibited at the wedge from may 1st - oct 29 10 - 5 but i dont think they enforce it much !!!

  • 1:24 u can get a perspective on how deep it is. look at the man on the bottom left screen... and this is a "deeper" wave break day

  • This girl is going to be rich! check out this video. every beach goer in the world will have one. just type in The shadewagon. the kicker is thats she is from utah!

  • who ever put this video up is a kook

i live there its called wedge not the wedge

  • @jessizjess i live there too and ive always heard it called the wedge !!!

  • im from oc and i was in new zealand during this storm haha

  • amazing fucking amazing (point break film)

  • yea you are not meant to stand up on body boards

  • Great video! The wedge does get bigger than this. You know its throwing when your standing on shore and watching the wave build up gives you butterflies in your stomach!

  • Seems like you boys got the best of it. All we got was horribly cold water mixed with howling offshores and big, messy storm surf. Na I got a few good sessions in but totally jealous of these guys not being wrapped in rubber though. Bring on summer. :)

  • 2:17 ouch...going over the falls...not nice

  • Oh mannnnnnnn.... now that is an adrenaline rush!!! TOTALLY AWESOME :))

  • the fellas go hard!!

  • All I can say is . . . WOW!!! Those were some pretty amazing waves, and you really captured how enormous they were!

  • So amazing!! Can we go with you next time you visit??

  • Sure!!

  • its called bodyboarding, your'e not supposed to stand up, u stay on your belly, thats why u can where fins on your feet

  • Okay, that makes sense. Thanks for the info!

  • @arizonaphoto yeah bodyboarding is sick, ive been bodyboarding for a while now and i love it!

  • @MarkBuck10 no your wrong! its called dick dragging

  • @PARAPARAPA1 i dont know why u have a problem with bodyboarding, bodyboarders charge, not like skimboarders, u guys dont even paddle out into the surf and catch ACTUAL WAVES, i'd rather be dragging my dick through a barrel than sliding on the damn sand

  • @MarkBuck10 actualy no u dont have stay on ur belly some put one foot on the nose and your knee towards the back

  • @DeadMaauu5 yeah its called dropknee

  • @MarkBuck10 ur a little late

  • whx they dont surf?

  • I assume you mean why don't the surfers stand up on their surfboards. I wondered that myself. But I figured it must be because the waves were so wild that it was too hard to stand up on the board unless somebody was a really good surfer.

Does anyone who is a surfer know about that?

  • @arizonaphoto

    i ve thinked the same...

  • @arizonaphoto

    Its a bodysurfing-bodyboarding wave.

Surfers that come here are willing to break there (neck, back, board)

Only a handfull of surfers can handle it when its over 12ft.

The water is between a few inches to a few feet deep. = Breaking somthing

I've broke my back here 10+ years ago and still get worked on a regular basis.

  • @arizonaphoto People don't surf there because the waves are so steep and they can break in as little as a few inches of water. The jetty also causes a side wave to undercut the incoming waves. It is crazy to just go out there in those waves. Trying to surf there is just plain suicide.

  • @mpgxsvcd Thanks for the info. And yeah, it looked pretty crazy out there that day!
