Helpful hints you did great but you should pull out some of the little plants out of your hill. so that the don't steal the energy from the ground to fast that all off them need.
Both videos were awesome. I was wondering what was your yield per plant? Based on my memory I think you said in the video that you had 15 seeds germinate and produced 24 pumpkins. That works out to 1.6 pumpkins per plant. I was just wondering if this was your yield or was it higher?
Loved the video, I try to grow pumkins also, I am in Virginia and this year the weather has been perfect sofar, hope I get as many pumkins as you, Thanks.
What amazingly helpful videos. Thank you so much. And what a grateful and generous heart you have. I love how you thanked God (and your mom and uncle) at the end. Great job!
OMG im new to gardening and i did not know that you needed a female and a male to get a pumpkin LOL so i have 2 plants growing and i dont know gender what they are XD
As a school project, my mom, dad, best friend Randi, little brother and two sisters are starting a big garden with over 50 different fruits and veggies. I am planting melons, black/raspberries, onions and PUMPKINS!!! I have had some problems researching how to take care of them and watching this video you put together was sooooo helpful!!! and I was very much impressed with how you praised are great God at the end! He really has made an amazing world to be able to plant such things! God Bless
I just love your video! I'm a first timer growing pumpkins. I began with one seed on May 22, and today I found a flower! I also read about manually pollinating the flowers, though, I don't know how it's done. Every 3-4 days I take photos of my pumpkin plant, since it grows fast.
So, after harvesting the pumpkins, you rip the plants off and start over with new seeds?
I would like to thank you for the two videos on this, I have looked quite a bit on the web for detailed information on growing pumpkins, but haven't found much. But your videos gave me a real good, up-close experience, from planting to yield numbers! Thank you much!
What is under your pumpkins and why is it there? It looks like wood or some other material.
I planted pumpkins for the first time in my garden this year and was overwhelmed by how much space they took up. I started them inside a fenced garden but led the limbs under the fence and into the yard. I ended up with 26 pumpkins and my better half made several nice sweets from them.
I did have two of my pumpkins invaded by chipmunks. They ate the whole inside out of them.
I will be lucky to get even a few pumpkins this year. There has been a lot of rain, which makes for soggy plants and increased insect activity. There has not been much sun to encourage the fruit to ripen. It has also been unseasonably cool - the temperature has reached 80F (27C) only twice all season.
I love watching garden progress videos and yours is wonderful! I just love to see pumpkins growing. I will be adding both to the pumpkin play list. I hope you make another garden this year. I'd love to see how it goes. Five stars to both.
Thanks for the great video. I am trying my hand at growing some this season. They are very small right now, but I hope they come up as good as yours. Very interesting to watch.
Excellent video!! Nice song at the end too! I found a pumpkin growing in my compost from last years pumpkin that I composted! LOL SO I was just curious how they grow... Thank you for a great video!!
great video, very inspiring. i loved the pumpkin info as well as the community-centered vibe of the project. i intend to plant a small patch next year.

My neighbour supplied me with small wood boards which I placed under each pumpkin to prevent it from rotting on the wet ground.
I have heard that racoons are just as fond of pumpkins as chipmunks.
