  • I learned all of my dance moves from this man. I'm a hit on the dance floor. x)

  • WOW THATS FUCKED UP I WENT TO SEE HIM AND ELTON IN CHARLOTTE AND THEY SUNG THEIR SAFEST SONGS. THEY SOUNDED WELL BUT WERE BEING EXTREMLY FUCKING LAZY HE AINT SING THIS OR REALLY ANYTHING GOOD. THATS FUCKED UP BILLY

  • ZzzA!

  • Billy Joel can dance? Whodda thunk?

  • @weldboy67 A musical genius he absolutely is, but a dancer he is not. Nobody has everything - but, oh my, he comes close! He was sooo cute, but time hasn't been kind to him. But, who cares. The words to this song give wonderful and important advice to all husbands. Listen up, guys! If you want to know how to keep your wife happy - pay attention to the words of this song.

  • @Susana1027 Absolutely corect on all accounts. I've been a big Billy Joel fan for many years, and I've not found anybody that I can really compare him to...he's just his own bag of tricks, even if he does look like a fat, old rabbi these days. Cheers, and enjoy!

  • This song runs along inside my brain whenever i saw her during college days..my wife

  • He always had such incredible energy and just awesomeness....sounded as good in person as in on his albums, still rocks today....

  • Incredible!!!! No other words...

  • This song is really great. It's really poppy and catchy but has very sensible lyrics.

  • he still has the energy to do this song. havnt you seen big shot at the live at the toyko dome, he's all over the place

  • he still has the energy to do this song. havnt you seen big shot at the live at the toyko dome, hes all over the place

  • This is when he was RED HOT! Thank you for posting. I Love It!

  • I can see Dodger singing this song.

  • Don't know what he was ever thinking getting rid of his drummer Liberty Devitto. That is part of the Billy Joel sound...

  • @bherber Supposedly, Liberty was talking crap about his wife, well, former wife, the 23 year old. Seems like the Libster was correct after all.

  • @kcufmalsi Really? Where did you hear that? I mean, I believe you, but I actually haven't heard that one and keep up with most of the news on him. I've heard that Liberty asked him for money and that made Billy mad, and also that Liberty said negative things about Billy firing other old band members like Russell Javors & Doug Stegmeyer. That would make sense though if he badmouthed the wife

  • @charbonneau yea I totaly no wat u mean man music has taken a turn for the worse since the beginin o de 2nd melenium

  • I think that he nails the song, but for some reason, Billy's voice always sounds better when he's behind or accompanied by the piano.

  • I think that he nails the song, but for some reason, Billy's voice sounds so much better when he's behind or accompanied by the piano.

  • i love billy joel, i hate that the new artist crapy ppl from the 2000's sing about crap and its rap and shit, it aint music, billy joela nd the older stuff that is msuci!! and billy sais he doesnt like this song but i love it and im sure others do to its a great song, i love the fact that all of his albums are different styles, i have his book and it sais that he does that so he isnt boring and stuff, and he likes different styles. wich is great he is great!! the best of all time <3

  • It is too bad that you do not see peformances like this anymore.

Billy Joel has always been excellent.

  • ...would like to see some Idols contestant try to do this...

  • agreed

  • @kankeranker Billy Joel is no idol. He is the real artist!

  • @kankeranker Yes, indeed. He kicks ass as a live singer and performer. And then he's even better at piano. And then he wrote all his songs. Absolute dominance!

  • Stellar singer/songwriter dancer, not so much. :-)

  • See thats how its meant to be done! Thanks soo much for that upload that performance was second to non really, gawd I miss Billy Joel with him not being in the public eye.

Best wishes to him though in his show writing bet hes doing an amazing job! Hes a very funny courageous guy, got mountains of respect for him, he really makes me laugh too his soo quick witted and very intelligent, nice one Bill, keep rocking dude!

  • I think Queen 85 was better, or 84 in japan?

  • Queen 86 live at wembley was also very good.

  • i can hear that billy joel has barely changed in 35 years :O

    great

  • He has such great vocal control! He was at his peak vocally during this time.

  • This is our jewel.

I strongly hope they will release a DVD

    of this performance.

  • saw billyin fl. at hard rock live ..he dosent move to much but then again he is going to be 60...great show he still rocks...love him

  • he does move around still in concert! during its still rock and roll to me he was flipping the microphone in the air!

i love his dancing here! its so cute!

  • yeah its pretty much the same dancing he does in the music video...love it!

  • Interesting to see him singing w/o an instrument in his hand or w/o the mike in his hand. He had said that wasn't his most comfortable thing on stage, but he did great here.

  • Hey guys while it is a rarity for this song,he has performed this since the Innocent man tour. If you look at posted set lists, he plays different songs quite often. I have seen him six times live starting with the innocent man tour. I remember him doing it during the River of Dreams tour. The reason why he stopped was his vocal range. As you get older your voice lowers. Even during the River of dreams tour he had lowered the key.

  • Do you know which shows he did "tell her about it" on the ROD tour?

I saw him at MSG on that tour and he didn't do it there.I agree with the vocal range, but also read an interview in which he said don't ever expect him to hear that live again. I think it was more for the reason he just doesn't like it anymore.

  • When during the ROD did he play this?

I was at several shows at MSG in NYC. I know he didn't play it there.I just wish there was anothere live version other than this one.

  • He has said that he dislikes this song.

  • that doesn't surprise me too much. It's so far off his usual style. But it's still catchy stuff, and it prolly freed him up to do other stuff afterwards. Gotta mix it up or you're gonna get bored out of your mind

  • Too bad he doesn't do this live anymore.

  • Oh my God ... I thought this was just one of those that he never does live.... Thank God he does (or at least did.) Does anyone know why he stopped?

  • It was probably the energy required that stopped him performing this one. I dont think he performed this outwith this tour. He did do "Keeping The Faith" on a recent tour a couple of years ago but it's not the same as doing this hit.

  • Ahh.... Thanks. That makes sense, actually. There isn't any piano in this, right? So it wouldn't make sense for him to be sitting down and singing it, so logically he'd need to get up and dance....

And I love him, but I'm not sure he's quite fit to drag himself around the stage all that much anymore. =P

  • I think he wrote the song on piano originally but I cannot find the demo I had of it so cant confirm this. He did uptown girl when I saw him a couple of years ago and think he should have tried this one too. I think if he had a horn section on that tour this would have been included

  • ...oh, wow, if you could find Tell Her About It on piano and upload it here, I would literally fall in love with you. When I saw him this year, he didn't do anything from An Innocent Man except Keepin' the Faith, like he did at your concert.

  • When I saw him back in 06, he sang Keeping The Faith & Innocent Man. Also sang Uptown Girl, during the encore, he moved around the stage a fair bit.

  • Actually, yeah, he moves around quite a lot - especially during It's Still Rock And Roll To Me. At the end of the show, he was looking pretty exhausted, though he still put out just as much energy as he always had. (Although I'm only sixteen and thus not lucky enough to have seen him at his prime, so I can't quite say that in ALL honesty.)

  • Yeah, I am only 20. But for a man who is nearly 60, he is still pretty active. During Big Shot he usually walks around the whole stage and attempts to look like a rapper lol.

  • Haha, yeah. He can totally pull of the look, too. =P

  • @DundeeBhoy2007 There is piano, but his keyboard player plays it. you can hear a glissendo at the beginning

  • @Aervane He stops doing songs like this and "Say goodbye to hollywood" because he says they shred his vocal cords.

  • holy crap

  • I don't think he's done this since the 84 tour. Nice to have a record of it on video.

  • Oh goodie Oh goodie Oh goodie Oh goodie Oh goodie Oh goodie Oh goodie!
