It doesnt take much to get those trucks stuck. My uncle retired from hauling milk and hes told me many nightmares. He once needed 2 tow trucks to get him out. I am fuel oil/ propane truck driver and ive had my share of sticky situations myself!
this long and thin cigar isnt easy to manoever on farms anyways. If they had the diameter a foot wider, it could be a couple of feet shorter.
In Holland they all drive 45 ton combinations with 2 steered axles, with a trailer length of about 9 meter. It would turn the inner circle when you put these two combinations next to each other.
I am a milk hauler from Ohio. I know how this guy feels. I've gotten farmer's out of bed numorous times. In fact, I just call the night before a big storm and tell them to have the tractor ready. they never mind pulling me out. i like to say, without me, the milk just gets warm, and the don't get paid
@stallionvogel you need a super air tire inflation system that will get you un stuck you can drop the air pressure and float ringt out then turn it up when you hit the road it works of the air on your truck just awsome in sand snow or mud saves fuel too
Oh yeah been there done that hahaha but im sure all dairy farmers have... But you have one twisti drive way. great video.Also about aweek ago the Cargil grain truck got stuck so we had to pull him haha
Been there, done that, over 25 years of being a milk truck driver in the state on NY. I don't miss the winter driving at all, although I have to admit, I kinda miss the farmers.
I dont envy the driver- I am a displaced dairy farm kid and former milk tanker driver from the hills of pennsylvania...Been there done that! Nice looking place though.

and the problem here was?

@1993futuremarine
ice and snow, the trucks tires couldn't get traction so a tractor had to pull him around to get him out and on to a major highway

I'd rather be stuck on a farm, with a tractor to pull me out, than caught up in an 6 mile tailback on the motorway.

Interesting video. I drive a milk truck in S.W. England - we have 2 artics at our depot but mainly rigid trucks that can get into every farm.

the high stakes game of drivin a milk truck.
if your gonna drive a milk truck, you gotta realize the risks this dicey career is going to bring you.
be careful.
