@MrHatMan94 Basically when a breakdown or powerful part in a song comes, he hits the sample pad, which is hooked up the the Roland SPD-S module, and it samples a blast of bass which sounds similar to the low end of an explosion and with a good enough sound system, shakes the entire venue. That is an "808 bass drop." The huge monitor to Dan's right is his own that he brings to "feel" the 808 and get pumped live! I know you feel the need to add that to your setup now haha;)
@danielcalderon oh i was wondering how they did those drops live thanks alot man i most definitely do feel the need to add it to my setup that fuckin awesome! cheers for your help!
haha! it seems that we've got the same taste in drum heads! i've been using power center snare heads from the start of drumming and i thought they were very good, but then i've found ST heads and now i'm stuck with them for the rest of my life! ST are wonderful heads and the name speaks for itself- they really are super tough and last forever! all of my toms are G2 too! they are hard to tune, but when you do it it sounds amazing and also last for ages!
@MrMaccelinho yeah, they'll make up a click track in a music software program that has all the time changes and stuff, then make it into mp3 and put it on their ipod
Haha! Bill Ward has never had anything near the same drumming skill as Dan Searle IMO. And Hollow Crown or Ruin vs Paranoid what a ridiculous comparison.
@SabbathWickedSabbath to be fair, metal is a very varied genre, and their stuff (old and technically new) comes under it. doesn't really matter anyway. metals changed.
@SabbathWickedSabbath Metal is the Trunk of the genre. All that Mathcore/metalcore genre shit are just stem and leaves. He's also their drummer so... Lmao. Spastic.
@KiraYakimi bro METAL is dead , trust me music adapts sound evolves i dont raise emokids but there are metalcore bands bands without the scene shit and stupid hairstyles bands like architects , i used to listen to obituary , death , death metal and technical shit 4 years ago and those guys are much technical are more beautiful in sound compared to those drunk , druged fat and stupid rednecks who express HATE and stupid things like that .
such a nice man

I think most of you are getting confused.
Architects USED to be metal.
They now play more on the hardcore side.
They even class themselves as Hardcore/Post-Metalcore.
