Absolutely love this series!! The main reason, though there are many, is because of the fantastic acting, especially by John Simm and Andrea Riseborough.

Andrea is right, this is a period drama that any audience can magically relate to. The need to be one's self.

riseborough is an amazing actress. i loved her in the Devils whore. another part i loved about this production was the fact that every scene almost looked like a painting.
