I just found this video of yours, and the tone is phenomenal! Beautifully played. I love it. I will favorite this piece. I don't play this piece yet, but I have played the first prelude.I will send that as a video response to you, so I hope you enjoy it! As soon as I play number five, I will send that to you as well.
This is beautiful but im getting frustrated now, theres so so many Videos on you tube called "Villa lobos" and None of them are the same piece im learning -_-"
Good to hear you again! I was tired of YouTube for a (long) while, but I thought I´d come back and listen to some nice guitar music again. And also to see if you can still play the guitar. Well duh! Of course you can. And looking good as always of course. Enough compliments? i know how much you like them.
Anyhow; great to see you again and I hope to be a bit more active around here ...
Great, man! I was just looking for some video that could help me to improve my way of playing this Prelude, and this video is the best of youtube channel. Thank you for sharing this with us. Hope some day I could play like you.
People says that Sungha Jung is the best guitarist in the world. It isn't true, although he is very good guitarist. But you're much better :) I love your playing. Your sound is very clear and professional. Never stop playing!
Thanks a lot. I don't think it is a bout "being best"... I guess we all do our best to spread the music and the love of the guitar. But I appreciate you kind words.
When he was asked why they had found him better then the young and much faster player he answered then that - "THIS BOY IS STILL LOOKING FOR HIMSELF AND I HAVE ALREADY FOUND MYSELF!"
I will try to translate one joke from Ukrainian language. So, there was a guitar players competition and there were only two left for the final play. One young player and the old one. So the young one had shown all of his best he was so quick and fast wile playing and had made any mistakes!!! But the old one had won the competition with his soft and slow kind of playing.
I have a question (and maybe it's just the way the camera is positioned that makes it look strange): what on earth is holding up your guitar? The way it looks from my angle, the guitar is just kinda floating there! Are you resting it on your leg, or do you have a stand of some sort? Or are you just so awesome the guitars hover for you when you go to play them? :P
@AndanteLargo Ah. That does make sense. Can't see it the way the camera is in the video. Thanks for responding! I'll definitely have to watch more of your videos; I'm using this video as a benchmark for my progress on this piece. Beautifully played. :)
Villa Lobos sine gitarkomposisjoner kan lett spoleres av utøveren, men kan og være en fasinerende opplevelse når de fremføres med feeling og forståelse---slik som du gjør her! Takk Maestro!

Good Morning Vic. H. V-L's way of using the guitar is unique. What I don't like about him sometimes is the way he is *too* idiomatic sometimes. It is as if he composes more for the instrument and playability than the core of the music. But 90% of the time he get away with it in a brilliant manner!
Hey dear Peo, nice to see you on this sunny sunday although you did this a while ago!!! Lovely playing... As always a pleasure to listen to you!!! Have a nice day... Have you the sun too? Hopefully!! Kiss Sarah :-)

Good Morning Vic. H. V-L's way of using the guitar is unique. What I don't like about him sometimes is the way he is *too* idiomatic sometimes. It is as if he composes more for the instrument and playability than the core of the music. But 90% of the time he get away with it in a brilliant manner!
Love and peace!
