Anyone that knows anything about oil leases knows that they are based on royalties and sometimes bonus up front for acreage, but never annual payments of any size. Any businessman worth a shit will tell you that his employees either make or break his company, which is why he is willing to pay more than his competition to his employees in order to retain the best that his field has to offer. I assume you're talking about the money that Hank Paulson FORCED the banks to take in 2008, all of which has been paid back with interest. The only reason they were forced to take the money to begin with was because of the socialist policies stemming all the way back to FDR and Fannie Mae, coupled with the CRA and the socialist Federal Reserve easy money policies created the housing bubble. Socialism ,at its very core, is based on force and coercion. In order to give something that doesn't belong to you, you must first take it from someone by force, which will eventually lead to violence. We can certainly have a limited government with socialized police, fire and military, but when gov't decides to get into the business of taking care of peoples basic needs, like food and housing, we get into trouble.

I already did, and when the guy started bitching about the leases only paying a meager amount once a year, thats when I closed it. Anyone that knows anything about oil leases knows that they are based on royalties and sometimes bonus up front for acreage, but never annual payments of any size. In the first five minutes of that documentary there were at least a dozen things that were simply just not true or made no sense whatsoever, discrediting the whole thing

Any businessman worth a shit will tell you that his employees either make or break his company, which is why he is willing to pay more than his competition to his employees in order to retain the best that his field has to offer. This is why 85 % of people work for more than the minimum wage. I'm guessing you're in the 15% that still works for the min.

I assume you're talking about the money that Hank Paulson FORCED the banks to take in 2008, all of which has been paid back with interest. The only reason they were forced to take the money to begin with was because of the socialist policies stemming all the way back to FDR and Fannie Mae, coupled with the CRA and the socialist Federal Reserve easy money policies created the housing bubble. Bubbles cant be created in a truly free market

In order to give something that doesn't belong to you, you must first take it from someone by force, which will eventually lead to violence. We can certainly have a limited government with socialized police, fire and military, but when gov't decides to get into the business of taking care of peoples basic needs, like food and housing, we get into trouble.

LOL. As if the conservatives' hands are clean of blood. What is the war on Iraq? What is securing our boarders? What is a stronger police force? other than a call to violence? After all America was founded on violence. As Thomas Jefferson once said "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." Violence cannot be dismissed in and of its self.
