This actually made me want to read Civil War over again. Amazing series, and amazing video. It still annoys me that they erased Spider-man taking his mask off, with how amazing that scene was.
Actually, it was in the Spider-man one more day thing. I'm only giving spoilers because I don't recommend buying this or ever reading it, because it had me pissed for days afterwards. He had a deal with the devil that resulted in him losing his marriage and resetting everything back to the good old days. He took off his mask, but nobody ever saw it. They didn't like it, so they just reset it. It's still in Civil War, but the MU erased it, basically.
Well, yeah! I mean, him turning into a fugitive was along the lines of Gwen Stacy dying, and not only did they erase the mask thing, they erased his fucking marriage! Live with the mistake, don't try and hide it.
Hulk was on another planet at the time, and arrived back on earth shortly after Civil War's "conclusion." See Planet Hulk and World War Hulk for more details. :)
I really have nothing negative to say about Marvel or DC comics in the last few years. If you ask me, I think Didio and Quesada are the best 2 things to happen to comics in a long time over all.
Skrulls and Crisis this year are gonna kick some serious ass on the fan meter.
Not true. You bring in all the Marvel live action movies for something big, and if they went at this they'd get the budget for it, like Toby McGuire, Robert Downy Jr., and others, and then add the important characters in specifically for this movie (Goliath, most notably, and the Thor clone would be interesting if they did it right, and the Black Panther) and it'd just have some tweaking from Mark Millar's story. Wont happen, but it's possible. If the Avengers have shown us anything.
civil war sucks why are they fighting to protect thier ids come on and at the end what happens cap just gave up. i really liked the concept at first but justthe tie ins are cool the main story sucked and the main character who started this didnt appear in the main comic he got his woping in another one come on
Alot of people are mad because Cap won, but look back on this and you'll know there was a purpose in this. If Cap won, it goes back to normal and the whole point of Civil War was pointless...
I just started reading Civil War, and am not very far in the series, but this video is just great. Really gets that there is no right and wrong in it. It's just which side you chose.
Hope you enjoy the series. Civil War helped get me back into reading Marvel Comics, and while I don't think its the greatest series ever, I think its very, very good. Thanks for the positive comments :)
Cap was always one of my favorites, because he was so idealistic. He saw America the way it was 60 years ago, and believed it could still be that way. Now that Steve Rodgers is dead, the new Captain America will probably be some cynical left wing punk.
This is a really great vid, and the music really captured the feel of the series. Hats off man, we have witnessed the passing of a legend.
Do you even read comics? From what I've seen of the new Cap, there is no doubt that the new Captain America is going to be Winter Soldier, AKA Bucky. Who fought with Steve in WWII and was presumed to have died then too.
The only real difference is that Bucky wasn't found and revived by the Avengers, he was found by villians and forced to become an assassin. Besides that, I think he is the only one who can fill the shoes if they have to be filled.
Yes, I read comics, I just haven't had a chance to read all of civil war. Sorry if I must have missed something. I was just worried about a repeat of what happened to Union Jack. I'm glad Marvel used it's head and picked a worthy successor. (Who else but Bucky? Besides, Winter Soldier as Cap is going to be VERY interesting) Thanks for the info man, that's a relief.
I actually doubt Cap will be Winter Soldier, from what I've read, Buck wants nothing to do with being Cap. Personally, I'd like to see what Tony REALLY did with the body. The public thinks Steve was buried, Tony's close friends think the body was frozen in ice, and yet Tony has been really careful about just where this body is. Anyhow, I think the new Cap will be the old Cap, that is, Cap will just return at some point.
Technically he was supposed to have given it to Namor, but like you said "who knows".
New Captain will be around by Febuary. If you see the new Cap images, you can tell it will be Winter Soldier since the outfit is a combination of Bucky's current one and Caps.
Originally I never really thought about Civil War. It was only after The Punisher got involved did I start to take notice. And I along with others (probably) have thought would the outcome be different if Captian America hadn't kicked The Punisher out of his Avengers. What does everyone else think?
Man so many people are blaming Iron Man for cap's death. Its a bit unfair to hold a mans grave to Iron man alone, I mean nobody want to blame the Red Skull.
Yep, Iron Man didn't assassinate anyone. However,Iron Man himself feels the guilt over Cap's death, and has acknowledged his own hand in it, or at least the fact that the result "wasn't worth it." I use very few "villains" in this video, which is a statement about "Civil War." It wasn't clear cut.I wanted to show the results from a failure to communicate. The SHRA was rushed into approval and many heroes were arrested. Regardless, I'm going to stop geeking out here. :)
I feel a little better that Iron Man just had his ass handed to him by Thor, but he still caused the death of Captain America. He has alot to make up for
This is the Art, that makes me come back to comicbooks. Makes me I want read them again and create my own. That's always been Marvel Edge over D.C that bitter taste of Reality. Heroes can Die. That and GNR for music Sweet!
No Suprise Great minds think alike. Now if they can make a decent Marvel Superhero Movie! We Marvel Zombies will have something follow. BRAINZ! BRAINZ! BRAINZ! That's what they need on the set for these movies brains. Peace true believer!

That Sucks! The ramifications of his taking his mask off resulted in some of the best comics I've ever read. That's too bad.

unless it's a straight to dvd animated movie, it wouldn't work. It relies to much on storylines the average person knows nothing about.
