  • Cordyceps is an adaptogen

  • are all these herbs adaptogen?

  • Please help me understand what you mean by "adaptogen".

  • @askjohnfung you know..... adaptogen herb, it's a herb that balancing your body Qi and assist in reducing stress . its hard to explain it but if you type " adaptogen " on google it will tell you what it is. make sure to click on a wiki link

  • So adaptogen is a brand name.

There are millions of brands out there coming out everyday. I don't have the time to keep up. So the answer is, I don't know. Sorry!

  • @askjohnfung An adaptogen is a phytonutrient that has the amazing ability to help normalize or adapt the bodys physiologic functions to a higher rate of functioning, regardless of the persons current health status . Adaptogens are able to take you from where you are, so to speak, and then help move you to the next level. This action is thought to be mediated via the hypothalmic-pituitary-adrenal axis, the pathway linked to longevity.

  • You're trying to look at ancient Chinese medicine through the prism of modern science, and interprete it from a Western viewpoint.

I don't do it the way you do.

So I still cannot answer your question about adaptogen. Sorry again!

  • thanks,,,, also how much do you put in does it matter,,,,cheers

  • Of course it does matter.

Normally, use no more than 10 grams for each herb in the package.

  • how do you prepare it

  • The traditional way is to boil and simmer the herbs in water for about one half. Then drink the solution. Throw away the boiled herbs.

One cup of solution a day is good enough.

  • The Dang Shen shown in your video looks much bigger than what my local Chinese Herb shop sells. Their Dang Shen is sold as lots of small lengths. Are the larger roots better quality and more effective?

  • Better quality usually means more effectiveness. By how much, I don't know.

  • thanks..this video really helps a lot

and the advice at the end too.. really needed that

    :)

  • You drink one cup a day for 2 weeks initially to see if it helps. Then wait for a week or so to see how you do without the tea.

If you do better, you may not have to drink it until you slide back into the previous condition.

If you cannot see any difference. You may have to continue drinking and see if the tea will bring any good results. The ingredients will have to be changed to bring you better results.

  • hi, where can I get this herb please >>>>
