  • Though I was born in 95 I really recognized his brilliance not just in the batman films but in Sleepy Hollow and much earlier movies like Dr. Terror's House of Horror

  • Diffently a true gem to the theatre and film. He is greatly missed. I feel really lucky to have seen his film performances in his extraordinary life. Mr.Burton thank you for intoducing him to me as Alfred, he will always be Alfred in my eyes. I will make sure that my future children know who you are Mr.Gough, so that your legacy will live forever. R.I.P. my friend, and thank you for giving me a fun childhood, it wouldn't have been the same without your kind nature.

  • Rip.. may he live in heaven for the remainder of his afterlife

  • FACT: they say Unlike the George Burns-like manservant he played in '89-97 batman series. He was rather a "different-eyed" slightly shorter verson of Canada's Raymond Massey in his much pofilic days.

    I agree.

  • He was a great Alfred R.i.p

  • Michael Gough Rest in peace. You really fitted the role of alfred and Michael Caine will never be as good as you :) RIP

  • Loved him as Alfred. He was best actor on Batman and Robin.

  • R.I.P. you was the best, but micheal caine is doing well! god bless every alfred but specialy you

  • RIP Alfred you will be missed

  • He was born in 1916.

There was age disputes going around.

Some say he was born in 1913 and some 1917.

    For real is 1916.

Rip Michael he was the best Alfred.

  • @zaxtor I put the 1916 date in the video but i kept the title as 1917 because i was unaware, either way god bless him.

  • @zaxtor actually one source said this "birth year is of respect and the actor himself claims he doesn't know what it is!". so it's not debatable after all. don't know it, it's never clear.

  • @ashcarl116 Was a similar thing with Ronnie James Dio's age.

He said he was born in the 50s.

Some say he was born in 1937.

    For real is 1942.

Also in some case some people at extreme age can forget their son's ages / birthday and even their own ages.

  • RIP Alfred

  • shame you put this shit music on here man

  • He was the genuine article and an actor to his fingertips. A perceptive and rare talent.

  • @omegaman59 wise words, full of truth. god bless him.

  • @batmanFAN07Thanks!. I met him once going round to see John Gielgud after his last play in the West End in 1988. MG was kind and courteous, a gentleman....

  • @omegaman59 at least you had the chance to meet him, i envy that. oh well im sure he knows he is missed, r.i.p

  • RIP

  • The animated series never showed Alfred's death. But it happened.

I haven't read much about Michael Gough's life, but as far as I can ell, he never brought shame upon himself and lived with active tolerance towards other people.

    He was a fine person.

  • he was the perfect Alfred

    R.I.P Michael Gough

  • well done to the both of you!

  • I only found out that he died about half an hour ago. I was shocked. I know he was old but he was a very good actor. I enjoyed his performance in the Batman films which I grew up watching. I don't think there is anyone who doesn't feel sad at this time. R.I.P Michael and god bless.

  • he was also the celestial toymaker in Doctor Who

  • Goodbye Alfred, Wayne manors halls will be all the more empty without you. When asked what his first act in heaven would be, Michael Gough replied: I thought champagne would be in order sir.

  • @oilers1go1 I hope he got a bottle or two :), god bless him.

  • R.I.P. Thanks for the memories Alfred..

  • R.I.P he will always be the best Alfred in my book.
