If it feels too hard to push, then something is wrong. Make sure it has a good sponge bar. Make sure the carriage is on the rails correctly. Make sure the fabric presser part (the metal part in front) is on correctly. Make sure it is clean and lubricated.

I just bought my first machine and it seems that the carriage doesn't run smoothly. Is there something that I can do. It seems like it takes too much force to run the carriage. Help.
