My Jack Russell is about 8 weeks old and he has the sharpest little teeth! He's always wanting to "fight and bite"...(playfully) but I'm scared he's gonna bite one of my kids in the face and hurt them. We really have a time with settling him down, but wouldn't trade him for the world! He is soooo adorable! :)

Jack Russells are the nippiest little buggers when they are playing, but they are such intelligent dogs. My Jack Russells name is Russell haha and he still bites when he plays, he's 8. When they are a puppy, they do this really cute thing where they pounce when they run towards lol they never stop wanting you to throw the damn ball too!

Need an advise: what to do? we trained our Jack several diferent commands, he's able to them all in and around the house.....but when we have a walk in our surroundings, area and bushes we always have to attach the chain because he is not listening when he's off the line and never will come back!

Thats a bad idea 2 get him used to tugging on fingers, my jack has some really bad habits due to things we used to let him do back in his pup days. if your not careful when he gets his adult teeth he will bite the shit out of your finger.

they can be high maitenance some times but it depends how you raise them i have a jack russell and he is quiet he follows me around everywhere and doesent bark alot and if he does bark it isnt loud because daisy my puppy is very smart and she is only amonth old :)

'dog years' is really misleading. think of it this way, dogs live between 10 to 15 years or so. the smaller ones live longer, while the bigger ones generally live a few years less than small breeds. small dogs mature by age 1 or one and a half, while big dogs mature by about 2 years (ie. become adult).

jack russells being a small breed generally go on to 14 or 15, but there's this one lady in my neighbourhood with a 20(!) year old jack russell.
