Cool video. I learned of burning man festival by watching a show called Repo tonight. LOL! I have one problem with this.... Would you enjoy this week long trip without actually tripping? Do sober people enjoy this? oooorrrrrr, is it freedom to get fucked up and look at pretty lights?

@numsify It is actually looked down upon by some to do drugs at the event, so I'm sure you could have a great time. And there are undercover cops and a security crew looking out for illegal activity of this nature.. the official website discusses this.

@numsify You don't have to be tripping to have fun, but it's one of the places where its socially accepted to be fried. I suggest heavy use of Marijuana while you are there.

I first went to Burning Man when I turned 50 in 2008. I went to hang my daughter's ashes on the Temple. She and I were to go to Burning Man when she turned 21. She moved to the next world in 2007 when she turned 20. Going to Burning Man brought me out of my grief and changed my life in so many ways and brought me into a new understanding of my fellow man. There are parties, raves, everything you can imagine that your parents don't want you to play with, but there is also art and beauty.

@mwitty100 Thank you for sharing that... I went last year for the first time and I decided after being there for two days that it was imperative that my mom comes this year.

It was her 50th birthday this year and I am currently working out the details of getting her and my aunt from Ontario to my home... It's time my family met my family.

I just want to share this beautiful place with as many people as I can... every year I will bring three or more new virgins... so far this goal is possible.

@djworthysf - Everyone can put all sorts of religious things on Burning Man, not of which are really true. We are celebrating life and the differences that make us both the same and unique. It is the Family of Man filled with free thinking people who don't need the confinement of regular society to create art and beauty, Thank is what it is to me. It may be other things to another person as the whole experience is about your perception while you are there.
