I've been so interested in watching all the responses and seeing what others came up with, I haven't even been putting together my own next one. But I think it's good - I think I'll let it sit for a bit before the next one. Right now I'm thinking to release one a month. I'd rather do it good quality than rush to make some kind of made-up deadline.

My best guess for #2 - August 5th.

Eggs are safe to eat in japan due to the fact that they irradiate all eggs in Japan. This kills anything that could make you sick. Irradiation isn't used in the west much due to public stigma around "raidation", and more so a lack of understanding.

Yeah, they pass under a nuclear source which sends either beta, gamma, or alpha, (i forget & depends on the source) through the eggs. While the wave is passing through it kills anything that is living, i.e. bacteria and viruses.

The particle passes through the egg. It doesn't make it "radioactive". Something that is radioactive, is a source of nuclear energy, which in egg is not.

That's right!

Rice is usually said "kome", but because it's in a word with "nama" before it, it's pronounced "gome" in this situation.
