idk but to me something about this game is lacking. I know it's too early to judge but the difficulty looks too easy and the game looks just the same as the original NSMB with some differences.

Don't worry - it's a completely different game with 76 completely new levels, as well as being very difficult. If something about it is lacking now, honestly, you won't be disappointed in the slightest. =)

I've been reading more things about it and I'm starting to think more positive. This game in a sense is like Super Mario Bros 2: The Lost Levels but with 4 player co-op, Yoshi, and The Koopalings. Now this is a Mario game I would like. I only hope is it's just as hard as Mario 2:TLL.

yeah this is the E3 version which was the beta. the final revamped one is awesome! look for some gameplay of world 1 and you'll see lots of differences

New Super Mario Bros. Wii will be released in the US and Canada on Sunday November 20 and in the UK and Europe on Friday 25 November.

The storyline is the same as every other Super Mario Bros. game there's ever been. =P

I agree with you, I think it's alright saying "it's easy" if you've only played the first half of NSMB DS, but once you get to the last two or three worlds... eesh.

The toughest part for me is getting all the coins because of the fact that, for a fair few of them, you need a rare item like the shell or the mini mushroom, and they're so damn hard to get and then keep hold of. Still haven't got 'em all.

As for your comment regarding the upcoming Kirby game, I can confirm that it is still in development and is scheduled for release in Japan at the end of the year under the title Hoshi no Kirby (Kirby of the Stars). However, as far as I understand, Sakurai is not part of the team developing the title.

Not true. For a start, 26 December 2009 isn't a Friday. Second, that would probably be the stupidest thing Nintendo Europe have EVER done.

I hope there's more characters to choose from than just Mario, Luigi, and two Toads. That might sound kindof hypocritical since Luigi started out a palette swap of Mario, but atleast they eventually made Luigi taller and gave him a different mustache. The levels so far look kindof empty too. Not enough scenery and detail in the graphics, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of enemies either.

They kept the same style since it's the same game basically, just the sequel to the first New Super Mario Bros.

they put blue and yellow toads to matcht he blue and yellow yoshis and mario (red) and luigi (green) match the red and green yoshi, but mario usually rides the green standard yoshi anyway id rather play as the standard toad (red polka dots and blue vest) maybe this is only a demo version and u can choose more characters.
