are you serious? there's nothing remarkable about this shot at all, not at tour level, and certainly not from the best player of all time. Baghdatis' drop shot wasn't good at all they're usually great from him. To call that "exceptional" is just an insult to a shotmaker of his calibre. The only reason Federer's shot was so effective is that Baggy was badly positioned AND wrong footed - you see him step to his right as Federer hits the shot, then jump back to his left. "no man's land"
@MrRalphNadal Yes, we do get hard-ons from Federer's "basic" winners. However, his winners only look easy because Federer is so damn silky smooth.
To be perfectly honest, I also get hard-ons when Nadal hits his banana-curve passing shot or when Gonzalez smacks a forehand return winner faster than his opponents serve.
actually, baghdatis's return from the serve is deep and pretty good in the offensive feel, leading federer to use a half-assed backhand flick. And that flick led to the ball being shorter in the court. Bagdatis should've taken that short groundstroke and attacked crosscourt or at least do something with it. Drop shot wasn't a good choice...especially against someone like federer.
poor shot selection from baghdatis, and federer knew to deliver a deep angled response. The form for the drop shot was also bad. should watch how federer and nadal do a forehand drop shot.

I don't know... I'm still pretty impressed by that first shot where Federer just flicks it deep into Baghdatis's backhand, forcing a weak reply!

That's nothing special. That doesn't make him a genius.

Champions are champions not because they do anything extraordinary but because they do the ordinary things better than anyone else.

I disagree.

@Ktung888 agreed, but Federer does extraordinary things too ^^
