  • Hi Manjula. I think you're adorable. Could you please publish a recipe for yoghurt mint sauce to have with samosas, pakoras, etc? I have tried to make it several times and it never comes out like the good ones from restaurants.

  • wowwww.aunty u r realy blessed with talent .great work

  • First time ever my papri came out so crispy and tasty and also without any dry flour floating and burning in the pan. I just had a splendid Papri Chaat plate Manjula Didi and it was so tasty. Thanks a lot for sharing your cooking secrets with us and letting us learn too.

  • is there a sweet alternative for the garnish that still involves yogurt? this looks so good.

  • @iroc31407

you can take off the green chutney from the garnish in this recipe. most people like the sweet and salty taste. maybe if you are not one of those, take off the salt from the garnish too!

  • ty for nice recipe

  • why everyone calls her aunty?

  • it's an Indian thing

  • @sandipaaaaaa It is respectable for young people to call her aunty. In India you cannot call anyone much older than you by their name. In old times every region or language had different words, but these days from one part of the country to the other aunty or uncle have become common way of addressing adults.

  • thanks manjula aunty u r too good.god bless you.

  • Thank you so much for this recipe, i love chaat! You make Indian cooking so accessible rather than intimidating to do at home, especially for someone who's never done any Indian food!

  • hello Aunty Ji,

Just a question, I couldn't find roasted cumin seed powder,Can I roast the powder at home? thankyou

  • Hi, you can toast the seeds in a pan for a few minutes over low heat until the flavor comes out stronger and the seeds are browned. then you can crush them with a stone on a board (which is what i do) or if u have a mortar...even a coffee grinder would work it, because it tastes so much fresher than the powder that comes already in a jar. of couse u can toast the powder in a pan but it's not quite the same

  • Uttar Pradesh... i remember it only because of Lucknow

  • your daughter in-law in very lucky.

  • UP is -Uttar Pradesh ..One of the biggest states in North India !!

  • looks good

  • hi manjula ji,

    u are doing a great job...thanks

  • hello manjula aunty where are you from india? are you gujarati? i am gujarati.

  • I am from UP

  • what is UP auntie because im gujarati

  • Oh! i guessed that u were from karnataka

  • i tried his but the papdi's turned out to be really hard....what should be done - should the dough be kneeded really thin or did i overfry them?

  • Over frying will not make hard I think dough was not kneed

  • tht looks so yummy! mouth watering!

  • Why let the dough sit for 10-15 minutes, what difference does that make? (forgive me for asking what may be a stupid question. I suck at cooking).

    Thank you!

  • it lets the flavor mix through the whole dough

  • It also lets the gluten in the flour rest so that the dough is not tough.

  • @clarissawam 10-15 minutes make the dough smoother and easier to work with.

  • Aunty, watching you cook, just reminds me of mum....so nice :-)

  • Absolutely brilliant! very sweet of you aunty to provide us all with the recipe of such mouth watering food

  • hi Aunty,

do you have to put the sooji in??

  • You're right--it looks SO tempting! I can't wait to make this. Your dishes are always tempting. Thank you for all the work you do just for us.

  • Thank you for this recipe. I can buy Papri at the store but last time it was stale and this makes much more sense to me. Make it fresh!

  • This is an interesting recipe, I have never heard of this dish before seeing this video.

My mouth is watering, Papdi Chaat looks like a wonderful mix of textures and flavorings, very exotic to a Westerner's eyes ( mine).

It would make a very nice hor d'oeuvre.

  • Thank you Aunty ! Its Mouth - Watering :)

  • Bless your hands! thanks

  • Hmm hmm hmmm....very good...this will be my weekend snack dish..thank you

  • Thank you so much for this recipe.

I made it and it was awesome !!!

I got a bit lazy and instead of making it as bite size goodness, I made it all in one serving dish as layers.

Yummm...I have to make this again this weekend. Thank you for sharing all the little details which make every dish perfect in our hands too.

  • Aunty, I never see you taste your wonderful food. I live in OC. If I wash up the dishes, may I be the taster?

Thank you for all your efforts to make these wonderful videos.

  • thank you always for great recipes

  • This looks like a good way to use pani puris that don't puff up when fried (most of mine - sigh). They look so delicious, and it's great to see your own enthusiasm for them!

  • I equally like seeing how you personally enjoy this recipe and share it with your family, as watching you prepare the food itself.

  • amazing recipe aunty..

thx for making cooking so interesting..

  • Mercy, thats looks great. Cheers!!

  • That looks very good...and like a lot of work!
