  • Swapped in a 8v92 into the Louisville ?

  • Yupp

  • @Freightshaker8v92 I watched the other videos of the engine swap. The 8v92 is better power than the 8v71 that used to be in the truck added 168 more cubic inches. I like the old Louisville Fords the best truck made, not too many around they rust out pretty good.

  • Yeah when we re painted the truck we got newer doors with less rust but it still rusts a bit

  • where abouts in the mountiains is this?

  • It is in abbotsford fraser valley if you saw the olympics it is like 1 and a half away

  • Does the jake use fuel to slow you down? Or whats really happening? You see, the "jake" I know of is the type that partially or fully blocks the exhaust (aka exhaust brake), and in most cases it allso shuts off the fuel.

  • It huts the fuel off causing the engine to become a compressor

  • @Da9eI Engaging the jake brake changes valve timing so that exhaust valves open after pistons reach top dead center, releasing the compressed air. no fuel is injected. the piston then moves downward with atmospheric pressure in the cylinder since the compressed air was released, turning the engine into a brake.

  • Yeah when i watched the video i thought sounds alot more quite and when i make another vid it will be more outside it sounds better that way

  • That's a pretty long grade; make sure your brakes are in top working order. BY the way, nice sounding jake, not too loud but loud enough to be heard
