  • cars had such style back then....today everything looks alike

  • So glad to see some other people out there love station wagons as much as I do.

I grew up with a '68 Country Squire, a '68 VW Type 3 (*"square back"), a '69 Mercury Montego, and a '75 Custom 500. My OWN first new car was an '88 Escort Wagon,

It's so sad they were legislated out of existence.

  • Got a 72 Country Squire 429 as daily driver in Holland and will keep it on the road :)

  • GREAT VIDEO.. Those are some sweet rides.......WagonMaster390

  • @wagonmaster390 Thank You very much sir, coming from you, that's a BIG honor.

  • I grew up in station wagons. Mom always had a 65 Galaxie Country Sedan that was loaded to the gills, and Dad had a 61 Country Squire, while later my step father had a 64 Chevy Biscayne wagon.

  • @jthulan Thanks for sharing, I have fond memories of our 76' Country Squire. I now have a 77' that I am working on.

  • Great wagon tribute VID!

  • First we had a '57 Ford wagon, then a '61 Country Squire, sky blue (like 44 seconds), with a 352 and At. That lasted until early '67 when dad got a '66 Country Squire with a 390-4bbl and 3 on the tree. Both were called "The Inflicter". I was so mean to those poor wagons. And we would put 10 people in it and go up to SF and watch Jimi Hendrix....Use your imagination....
