love this video..gives me more choices then the trunk mount rack i have now. I want to buy a hitch kit from etrailer.com but i gotta figure out where and who to trust to install it the right way.
@MrMexicanZombie I'm glad you liked it! If you decide to buy a hitch from etrailer, you could most likely install it yourself! If you have any questions about the installation, you can ask one of our experts. Also, we have a lot of videos of trailer hitches being installed on different vehicles, if you want to check them out. If you visit etrailer(dot)com and enter the year, make, and model of vehicle, you can check out all of the hitches that will fit your vehicle.
In the days where everything is made by the lowest bidder in China, is it really wise to strap a cycle (let alone 4) to the rear of a car and then drive on a motorway? It could be as strong as hell, but if bought and used by a complete moron....?
So now the moron is dicing with not just his/her life, but everyone driving behind them. I'd ban them...simple as that. You can take bikes on trains, hire a van...buy a van....there are other ways. I leave a 2nd bike at my holiday home, for e.g.
@GhibliFan1 These are actually very safe. Of course, any hitch mounted accessory is subject to failure if not installed properly, but since these are very easy to install on your car, as long as you do not exceed the weight rating of your vehicle or the bike rack, there would be no reason to worry. They are equipped with anti-sway cradles and an anti-rattle device to make sure that your bikes are secure. It is actually a very safe option for transporting your bikes to wherever you need to go.
