  • This was really great for helping me and my bridesmaids decide on colours for their dresses, thank you! :)

FilAsians - The sample picture I had was with a black dress. I just clicked the "Colorize" checkbox (in the Hue/Saturation dialog box) and then it will work.

  • I must say your Tutorials are the best I've seen, easy to follow very detail, I am new to Photoshop, I been looking for good tutorials and since I found yours, I been able to learn a lot, Thank you and keepup the great work.

  • Is There A Tutorial For Dyin Clothes Into White?

  • Yes for solid colors-See "Photoshop Mama's Remapping Color" video here on YouTube.

  • I love your accent PhotoshopMama! And great job in the color saturation, worked great in my photos when I change color on clothes I fool my friends every-time!

  • photoshop mama you are the best! i keep forgetting about changing blending modes to help me brush in a mask. thank you!

  • Great tutorial! But, it won't work on black clothes...

  • keep going...I've got tutorials for just that, too!

  • Hey, my girlfriend sent me a picture of her in a dark blue shirt... She wanted me to turn it to a peach color. The problem is, I can't find a peach color in the Hue/Saturation tool... Is there another way I can change the color?

  • it wont change the color of my white shirt when i go to hue/saturation?

  • Try using the adjustment layer's Hue and Saturation and set the Lightness slider to a negative amount. Also try setting the layer blend mode to multiply or darken.

  • I wish I was this good at photoshop. :[

  • thank you so much for all you wonderful tutorials..when I try to select the color in the color range I keep getting a box that says "no pixels are more than 50 % selected. The selected edges will not be visible" I can't figure it out....hmmm

  • Select a pixel layer that has pixels, like the Background layer

  • what if you want to make the picture black and white

but make a certain part of the image

    colorful?

  • See my Selectively Colorize an image tutorial or just use a black&white adjustment layer, then create a blank layer above that set the layer mode to Color or Hue and pick some paint and go to it!

  • what if you want to change color on other things on the image? like different colors...

Example - i want to change the shirt color blue and the pants red... how do i do that?

  • You can select the area and apply the same method or create a blank transparent layer on top, change that layer blend mode to Hue or Color and with a brush select a color and paint over it. It is easier to get the exact color if you first put a desaturate Hue/Sat adj layer over the area first.

  • Thanks!

  • you're the best PS instructor by far!!!!

  • I guess that depends on who your other teachers have been...it's all relative! But thanks for saying that!
