I am just dumbfounded by the sheer power of this performance....

I have always said Medtner deserves more recognition than he has already,and so am glad that Heifetz recorded one of his works,as I know no better way to do justice to a composer..Beautiful,just beautiful!

Wow, what a find! I had no idea this existed. It leaves the heart aching not only by the music, but also for imagining what might have been......three great violin sonatas....if H. had taken up just one of them, Medtner may have been more on the musical map. Thank you for this gem.

Medtner is one of my favorite composers. I love his piano concerti. This transcription by Heifetz is beautiful.
