@Ghostspiders; it may depend on how you look at it. Perhaps if Thrall hadn't been so hard on him, Hellscream would still be alive. Perhaps if Grom had kept control of himself he could have killed that demon without sacrificing himself. Looking at the facts and what did happen, I think the whiplash from that demon's death is what took Grom down. That demon was so powerful that when Grom killed him the released energy was to much and he took the full force of it, not showing any sign of weakness.
Now they are just making stuff up. Without actual concidering alot.... WoW lost its balance with the rise of the Lich King... And it is terribly turning into a pve only game... U know what pain that is?

While he was a fantastic Warrior, Grom seems to be Dranor's biggest idiot. The first to drink the demon blood, was partially responsible for Dranor's falling apart, was captured by a leaderless Lorderonian Warband, disobeyed thrall's orders, was the first to go back to the demons, and several other things probably happened in between WC2:BtDP and WC3:RoC...he seems only matched or beaten in idiocy by Garrithos, the Illegit leader of the resistance.
Swordlord, have to disagree with you about idiocy(my username may show bias :P). Drinking the first time was on invitation from Blackhand. They had no way of knowing that the corruption would destroy their world at that time. The second instance was out of desperation to defend against the NE, as they would have killed him otherwise. Being captured was, I believe, a plot slip for tutorial purposes because it's unlike him. His only fault really is wanting to do whatever it took to kick more ass.
While you at least have responded in a respectful manner,unlike others I've met who shall remain nameless, I still retain that he lacked a certain degree of intelligence. A non-biased source has said the the Orcs did see the truth behind the Legion. I can forgive the Attacking Alliance bases in BtDP, for Dranor was a dying world even then. But if they had given themselves up or stayed and fought, we would not have the Lich King and Arthas would not have gone insane. Just ask, I can go on.
I've read Rise of the Horde, and that shows that only Ner'zhul and Guldan, and maybe the Shadow Council really knew what was going on with the Legion. They controlled Blackhand because he had all the good qualities of an orc warrior, so all the other orcs followed him. I don't see how he had less intelligence than any other proud orc. You can't blame Grom for what Ner'zhul and Gul'dan brought upon their own people.

Sorry, But hellscream DID KNEW about the demonic corruption that whas laying on the water and he drank it, and ordered all of his warriors to drink it to, because Cenarius was attacking his village and slaying every orc in his way. In a desperate intent to survive, they drank the water and felt much powerful, so, they slayed cenarius and survived the attack, but becamed Fel orcs with Mannoroth Corruption ;)
hellscream was a warrior, a chieftain he knew that only drinking the blood of demons and unleashing the REAL power of the orks will stop cenarius, he did what he had to doo to protect his brothers, hell, i would have drunk it too and save some for my hommies, killing night elfs is fun !

1) the lich king was Grom's boss in the second war, the orc shaman lord Ner'Zul
2) the Deathlords were set as the lich king's guardians and tutors... they taught him well, so he has great power over the dead.

Grommash Hellscream Chieftain of the Warsong Clan and Bloodbrother of Thrall Warchief of the Horde ... was tricked and corrupted by Mannaroth. Grommash means Giant Heart, i think this fits to him.
He freed not only himself, but his whole Species his beloved and his Fellowers.

While he was a fantastic Warrior, Grom seems to be Dranor's biggest idiot. The first to drink the demon blood, was partially responsible for Dranor's falling apart, was captured by a leaderless Lorderonian Warband, disobeyed thrall's orders, was the first to go back to the demons, and several other things probably happened in between WC2:BtDP and WC3:RoC...he seems only matched or beaten in idiocy by Garrithos, the Illegit leader of the resistance.

Swordlord, have to disagree with you about idiocy(my username may show bias :P). Drinking the first time was on invitation from Blackhand. They had no way of knowing that the corruption would destroy their world at that time. The second instance was out of desperation to defend against the NE, as they would have killed him otherwise. Being captured was, I believe, a plot slip for tutorial purposes because it's unlike him. His only fault really is wanting to do whatever it took to kick more ass.

While you at least have responded in a respectful manner,unlike others I've met who shall remain nameless, I still retain that he lacked a certain degree of intelligence. A non-biased source has said the the Orcs did see the truth behind the Legion. I can forgive the Attacking Alliance bases in BtDP, for Dranor was a dying world even then. But if they had given themselves up or stayed and fought, we would not have the Lich King and Arthas would not have gone insane. Just ask, I can go on.

I've read Rise of the Horde, and that shows that only Ner'zhul and Guldan, and maybe the Shadow Council really knew what was going on with the Legion. They controlled Blackhand because he had all the good qualities of an orc warrior, so all the other orcs followed him. I don't see how he had less intelligence than any other proud orc. You can't blame Grom for what Ner'zhul and Gul'dan brought upon their own people.

Sorry, But hellscream DID KNEW about the demonic corruption that whas laying on the water and he drank it, and ordered all of his warriors to drink it to, because Cenarius was attacking his village and slaying every orc in his way. In a desperate intent to survive, they drank the water and felt much powerful, so, they slayed cenarius and survived the attack, but becamed Fel orcs with Mannoroth Corruption ;)

hellscream was a warrior, a chieftain he knew that only drinking the blood of demons and unleashing the REAL power of the orks will stop cenarius, he did what he had to doo to protect his brothers, hell, i would have drunk it too and save some for my hommies, killing night elfs is fun !

Groms the best Character in warcraft he's certainly my favourite and probably the most heroic i've done the quest in Nagrand and seen Grom's ghost i'll never forget that moment but His Son Garrosh is set to be the Horde leader in Northrend so he won't be forgotten

Grom is one of the most heroic characters in all of Warcraft and it's a shame that he's not alive in World of warcraft.

Grom was an honoured warrior of the Horde he was the first to take up the Demons Blood frenzy but, he was the one who ended it and would not be taken by fury again no matter the price and he died to free the horde i think Grom is the most honoured Orc in the Horde. Takeing the blood fury again to get fight the elves and now may he rest in peace for the Horde should honour his sacrifice everyday and i want no one to forget his Legand... Lok tar Ogar!!!
