My daddy likes Dwight's music, so after I heard it I started to like it too, thanks to my dad I grew up with country music and Nora Jones :). Thumbs up for country music -3
I like the video quality: the audio might need a little work as I was having a tough time hearing the words over the rattle in the mike or was it the speakers? Dwight is Great though!
For the most part, Dwight has Pete Anderson to thank for the guitar riffs. He does a lot of dancing around - not much playing. Dwight is nowhere in the league of the guys you mentioned, or Pete Anderson. I love him, but he isn't doing the heavy liftng here.
Alas what happened to the grainy black and white video of white trash in the deep south that went with the studio version of this classic Dwight number? I am pining for it..........
@cowboyNick81 Well Nick, I guess it depends if you're copying Dwight's stage moves while on the toilet, or playing your guitar. One would look cool, one would not.
at my school's talent show I did two of Dwight's songs, Fast As You and a chorus of Rocky Road Blues and everyone loved it. they said I was the only act that got a standing ovation. that just shows the power you can tap from this well of talent
Everything Dwight does is great but this is one of his best! Too bad the camera didn't focus more on Eddie Perez, especially during solos! Best dang lead guitarist in Country & Rock!
You are welcome..Glad you enjoyed the video and I agree he looks and sounds awesome. Even folks that aren't fans will leave a Dwight Yoakam show a fan.
Thank you for posting! it was videos like this one that motivated me to go see Dwight in concert. I went to a concert a few months ago. He had a youthful appearance and it was clear that he enjoyed being on stage.
he just had to make me regret no going...just had ta do it. If'n I had a got to go, I'd a been draggin' a bag of wet taters with me....NOT FOR LONG...Guitar UP, Hat down LOW...

I like The Blasters version better. It's rocked up more. But this version isn't bad.
